Questions regarding my B12 case (IF, veganism, oral sublingual, and other blood results)
Hi all, My case seems to be a little murky. In 2018 I found out that I had very low B12. I was a vegetarian at that time and for the last 2 years have been vegan. Back in 2018, I began injections which brought my level very high very quickly. At that time I also took my first intrinsic factor test. It

Anxiety/ panic attacks/ palpitations during period?
Anyone? I've noticed on my last period and now this one I'm getting lots of anxiety and panic attacks and my heart races. It's becoming really uncomfortable. No other symptoms.v Then it'll go away only to come back later or next day. Is this normal? I'm 49 and premenopausal could this be it? I already

Iron panel results - is this normal or something to be concerned about?
I'm confused by the results. I haven't been taking any iron supplementation for a while. I tested because I've been ill (chronic urticaria) and haven't been able to tolerate iron supplements. Fasted over 12 hours beforehand, didn't take anything with biotin for over 10 days. Doctor wanted to do full

Hypo and cholesterol advice please
Hello I’m looking for some advice please prior to a GP appt. I’ve had a phone call with the GP and said how tired I’m feeling but I also had raised cholesterol (no numbers GP test). I said this could be due to under medication take Levo 75mg. Was then told I need to pass a risk test for statins. Had

First Appointment - venting
First appointment with an endocrinologist this afternoon and it felt like a slow motion car crash. They tried to be kind and sympathetic, I could tell they genuinely wanted to be reassuring… but I just started seeing red flags as soon as they told me “I spend most of my time taking people off levo

Vits tested
I’ll ask the GP for some iron, I’ve bought a blood test online which is more thorough. Waiting for day 3 of my period as there’s lots of hormones included, just wondered if the b12 or folate are ok? Serum vitamin B12 level 311 ng/L [180 - 640] Serum ferritin level 20 ng/ml [15 - 200] Serum folate

Thyroid Check-Up
Hi all, I recently had my bloods done at the doctors for Folate, B12 and Thyroid etc. I asked for a print out of my records and seen that my folate was 1.8, so doctor prescribed 3 months of folic acid. My T4 level was 11.1, I wasn’t prescribed anything, and I was told to get this rechecked in 3 months

UPDATE; Overwhelmed; unbearable pain with a 'cascade of subsequent pain', can't figure out anything anymore? Does anybody else get this?
I would like to say a huge, heartfelt thank-you to everybody who has replied to my post in the last 48 hours. The incredible expression and wave of care and positive vibes has been humbling. In return I would like to give EVERYBODY a big hug of sincere gratitude. Every single reply has helped me to

Growing Challenge - Pea Shoots
Who wants to join me to see how each of us get on?
This autumn is going to be a first for me. Not sure how it will turn out but I will be growing Pea Shoots and picking them fresh for my salad. No more bagged pea shoots from the supermarket and in the long term will be cheaper and much fresher
