Iron levels
HiI'm 12 weeks pregnant and expecting twins. The midwife asked me a number of questions and said I was high risk for low iron so said I had to start taking iron tablets daily (322mg). However, I just got blood test results back and my iron levels were fine. I asked if I still had to take them and she

NHS IVF refused due to low AMH
Hi, we have been refused for IVF on NHS for my low AMH which come back at 1.25pmol/L (0.18ng/ml) and had to be a minimum of 5.4pmol/L. She also mentioned that my iron levels were high and didn’t ask if this could cause low AMH due to the upset. Do you think these could be related? She said the chance

Hello everyone. Firstly I want to say a big thanks to everyone that helped me understand my mum's results and situation. I also got my wires crossed and gave some wrong info. My mum did have a test before they prescribed 25mg, TSH 8.58. They said as she was 'borderline' they would try levo before considering

Optimal Ferritin: Does anyone take a maintenance dose of iron to achieve this?
Dear Forum Members, I am wondering if anyone takes a maintenance dose of iron to keep ferritin optimal? After reading the recommendation here for the Three Arrows supplement I am about to start taking this but would appreciate any advice you have on raising and maintaining ferritin levels.

Thyroid results-Hashimotos?
Hello, Looking for some help in interpreting thyroid results. I've been testing privately over the last two years. Does this show Hashimotos and would it be enough for a GP to take seriously? Since having my son three years ago I've had many unexplained symptoms - weight gain, swollen legs, fatigue,

My GP diagnosed me with severe rls in 2010. I started with .25mg pramipexole (Sifrol) now taking .75mg and olmesartan/amlodipine for high blood pressure. I have had rls before this but only occasionally. He has now suggested an iron tablet Maltofer which I am starting today. I have a history of

Tapering off pramexole
I've been reading this forum for a couple of years and it's really helpful. I'm in the states and I know this is a UK forum so I'm using American measurements. A little background. Thirteen years ago my husband complained I was treating the bed like a trampoline. I was sleeping through all of it, except

Hi all. I am now SI EOD and have had my iron infusion which is great. I’ve had my autoimmune blood tests back which show I don’t have an autoimmune disease or Pernicious Anaemia (results attached). I’ve been advised that means I have a gut issue which is blocking absorption, I’m keen to get this looked

Checking medication
Hi, I was chatting to a colleague today about their restless legs which have been unbearable lately. Their doctor put them on Perindopril for high blood pressure, Amiodipine- a calcium channel blocker, and Fenofibrate for high cholesterol. He thought they made his legs so much worse (his doctor doesn't

Still Looking for Suggestions
So my post kind of got highjacked into multiple directions. LOL! So I started and new one. My concern is still how to withdrawl from Ropinarole without losing my mind during the DAY. I have something for nighttime but the US is so paranoid from the abuse of opioids that only a miracle would help me

Hello, Having B12 defiency my GP has been prescribing me oral B12 which got my levels to normal but hasn’t changed my symptoms. She then prescribed blood tests for parietal cell antibodies and intrinsic factor antibodies. Both were negative. She says therefore I only need B12 orally and not injections

Newly diagnosed stage 4 prostate cancer, age 77, PSA in low 20 range. PSMA (type of PET scan) revealed metastasis to 7 bone sites, with intermittent hip pain alleviated with Tylenol. Occasionally short of breath because, I think, below normal hemoglobin, platelet and iron levels consistent with bone

How to persuade TSH-obsessed Endo I'm not over-replaced (on T3-only)?
Hello, I am posting because I'm hoping for some advice for an Endo meeting on Tuesday. There is a possibility that the NHS Endocrinology team at my local hospital might just be contemplating 'widening' their approach to T3 (historically for me, a violent slam in the face 'NO! Get off T3 immediately or
