Diagnosed with cancer (HCC) just from a scan?
My father has been diagnosed with HCC from a scan. The fact it appears to be in a vein means he’s refused a transplant and given palliative care only. I sought some second opinions in Germany and Italy and they both looked at the same scan and do not believe it’s cancer. They recommended a biopsy.

Proton VS. IMRT
I was meeting with an RO who practices IMRT and was referred to a colleague who practices at the Proton center. (so close to my home that I could walk there. ) I had over ruled Proton because my urologist told me that it not used for High Risk PCa. I also have an enlarged prostate Looking at their web

If I could only put my back into it.
Two weeks about completing IMRT with boosts and four months into a six month Lupron injection, my CBC and Metabolic Panel were all normal and my T level is <3. Bladder frequency is calming down to once a night. I have developed some back pain that generally spans the area of the notorious "tramp stamp

Today is November 13. Today marks exactly one year since my father was admitted to the hospital for what we would later find out was septic shock. What things may come
Today was 37. Thirty seven days of IMRT radiation... 37 days of saying good morning to an office staff of five, dropping my pants in an examining room chair and donning an operating gown before reciting my name and birthday grants me entry into the subduely lite room of the one-eyed Cyclops. On day 12
