Hello All , Still having my prostate after SBRT 6 yrs ago , and now having had SBRT to 1 hot lymph nose in the pelvic area and just started mt 25 sessions of IMRt to the pelvic area , and just started being on Eligard , Zytiga , prednisone. So the question is , when the dust settles what kind of PSA scores should I be getting with still having a prostate ? Thanks JJ

Unknown, everyone responds differently to treatments. But you should see some drop, hopefully a big one.

By "when the dust settles" you mean after your testosterone returns to normal and after the radiation has done its work (which can take a few years). It should hopefully eventually be less than 0.5, but that might take a few years.

Hi Allen , " when the dust settles " I was thinking like 3-6 months after radiation which ends early March . I was hoping to get a low trend in PSA asap . So 0.5 would be a decent score even with a prostate ?. I was DXd Dec. 21,and treatments are moving along swiftly . But as you mentioned all this can take some time . Thanks Allen , JJ

You won't know anything useful in 3-6 months.

It is not a question of PSA value but trend.

Hey jj! A Psa<0.1 is possible with a prostate . I also had 8weeks imrt , gl4+4 =8 Dxed in 2015 , Lupron and Tak -700 for 18 months then an orchiectomy 2017 ,no mo shots . Still taking a pill form adt( tak-700) said to stop adrenal production of t. My T is 3, that is a problem but no signs of pc is a dam miracle . I Hope that you can put pc away for decades ? As we know , nothing last forever . Take care
