Hello Warriors , Yesterday 02/01 , I swallowed my first Zytiga 250mg after my morning light breakfast and 1- 5mg of prednisone an hour later . So now Im in the big boys club .Then I drove 45 miles one way for my first of 25 IMRt , Tomotherapy sessions . Today its snowing like a b**ch out here in Chicago so I might have to cancel treatment . So far I have no side effects , but I expect some after a while . Is there any disadvantage to delaying IMRt after the first one ? Thanks

D-Day !
Keep up the good fight. Lots of luck.
I wish you well. I tolerated EBRT quite well with only a little decrease in appetite and some diarrhea towards the end which resolved quickly. Excercise helped me.
Missing one session of radiation isn’t a big deal, usually they just tag another session on to the planned end date. I can understand your concern, I had 38 sessions between Feb and Apr ‘20 just as the first wave of Covid19 hit Ireland. My radiation oncologist said not to worry unless there needed to be a large gap in the treatment which thankfully didn’t happen. I got lucky, no gaps I completed all sessions as planned.
Wishing you all the best,
Hugh
You can get a snow-day off here and there.
Zytiga is a lightweight when it comes to side effects. You’re not in the ‘big boy’s club’ unless you’re taking Lupron, Eligard, Orgovyx etc. Hopefully you won’t need any of those.
IMRT is no big deal either. Just a bit inconvenient. Regardless of treatment path get plenty of exercise though, especially weight training. That’s the big boy club you need to be in the most.
45 miles will be hard after imrt as it progresses . Anyway to stay close might help .
I was wondering does b**ch stand for bitch?
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I hope you pop many, many more of those pills
No food for an hour after taking 2 Aberaterone tabs. Then take prednisone with food. This must be followed exactly.
