Podietry or not?
I have type 2 diabetes and on 3 tablets which has now been changed to 2 and one of the others has been doubled. If this doesn't work in 3 months I will have to go on insulin I have over 30 chronic medical conditions so can't bend down so have to pay to have my toenails cut. My friend told me this isn't

Seeking a neurologist
I am diabetic on insulin and currently having burning and extremely hot feelings in my feet. I have been advised by family doctor to see a neurologist. Can someone suggest a neurologist in GTA who specializes in diabetic related issues like this.

I don’t feel like taking my much needed anti-depressant. But I’ve been down this road before with disastrous results. I will probably need meds for the rest of my life. My doctor said it’s the same as a diabetic who needs their insulin but I have trouble believing him. I’ve been having the same thought

Diabetes Type 2 finally.
Have mentioned this in a reply to another post. Today my doctor has prescribed me Metformin to address my blood sugar levels. I have tried (not massively but I have tried) to address my insulin resistant body but to no avail. I am sick and tired of saying to myself, you can't have that, you shouldn't

Not sure where to ask this question...
Also if anyone has suffered from debilitating muscle fatigue and found a helpful treatment or supplements, I'd live to hear about it, though I do wonder if it might be something to do with blood sugar or

Hello. I'm posting here on behalf of my almost 18 year old daughter. She started menstruating two days before her 12th birthday. She has pretty much only had a couple hard periods in her life, otherwise, a light bleeder. She started running cross country and track for her middle and then high school

Can I now introduce more keto foods as in recipes
I went on keto to help with my high cortisol issue as this is connected to
insulin
resistance
. I also have an under active thyroid and seem to hit a Plateau with my improvement.

Thyroid Results - Currently on strict protein ONLY diet
Below are my thyroid results. While I am very happy about this, I am not sure if they are optimum. I am sure they have improved over last few months as I removed all insulin spiking foods but still don't know if they are optimum. The T4 and T3 seem borderline to me. What are the symptoms of being borderline

Metabolic Syndrome & the prevalence of PCa.
Reading between the lines, there are few of us (in the U.S.) 65 & up who have neither
insulin
resistance
nor diabetes. With
insulin
resistance
, the pancreas tries to overcome resistance by upping production, but this stimulates further

Drug action information and diagnosis In My post “Post 1 Part 3” I attempted to describe my thinking on the concept of Stress Breakdown Point. Graph 1 in the “Post 1 Part 3” post indicated that a small change in stress could make a lot of difference in quality of life for people with chronic health

Top 4 Herbs to Reduce Inflammation Instead of NSAIDs -- Dr. Jockers. Long article, good information
Inflammatory cytokines can lead to increased
insulin
resistance
and elevated blood sugar that only feeds the cycle of continuous inflammation and blood sugar problems.

Low-carbohydrate diet plus walking to reduce metabolic disturbances caused by ADT.
Primary outcome was change in
insulin
resistance
by homeostatic model assessment at 6 months. To detect 20% reduction in
insulin
resistance
, 100 men were required. The study was stopped early after randomizing 42 men due to slow accrual.

Thyroid hormones modulate uric acid metabolism in patients with recent onset subclinical hypothyroidism by improving insulin sensitivity
Is there anything that thyroid hormones don't affect, modulate, or whatever? [i]Intern Emerg Med. 2019 Mar 13. doi: 10.1007/s11739-019-02065-9. [Epub ahead of print]

Hyperparathyroidcalcimia and LADA
I am need of some help here. I have hyperparathyroidcalcimia and LADA. The thyroid is growing in an odd shape, possibly cancer, and I am having problems with my weight. I have read some of the articles and some of you are taking medications for the thyroid, which I am not and some suggest the Leptin

New to LCHF after years of being on WW diet
I’ve been researching and I wonder if I have
insulin
resistance
. I have been to my GP and I had a Haemoglobin A1c blood test and I’m waiting for the results, but there appears there is a connection to high cortisol and
insulin
resistance

Damn the Torpedoes. Part 3. Fasting, Hunger and satiety.
Now, I’ll be the first to admit that the regime I am undertaking is extreme and as such there should be hunger and satiety issues. There aren’t! Let me give you an example. Last Saturday I had a carb frenzy at my mother in law’s. Shepherds pie with carrot, broccoli, cauliflower and sprouts followed
