I have to lose weight. my diabetes is out of control. I am now on insulin. I don't want to walk or diet, but I am going to try a diet plan from a dietitian. don't think it will work, but I will try as I always do.

Giving up on keto, what am I doing wrong
I started this as I have high Cortisol levels and noticed my waist disappearing, so suspected
insulin
resistance
as I have thyroid and Hashimoto's issues. My skin is so much better for it and I did feel well.

Extremely bloated and constipated!!
Hi everybody, I hope someone out there can help please... A couple of years ago I lived out of the UK for a month, during that time I was very busy and I ate when I could. The week before I returned to the UK I got constipated and as a result, bloated. When I got back my period was about two months

Making Human Foie Gras – T2D 20
Because of an atricle I read in the news paper I Googled "Foie Gras". there is a lot to learn from this!!! Fatty liver is a duck or goose is known as Foie Gras. But humans get it too. Here it’s known as fatty liver disease or non alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). How do we get NASH? It all comes down

Losing weight
My doctor phoned last evening and told me my latest blood test showed only a slight drop in criatinine (from 32 to 30 in the last month). He also said that, looking back the levels were recorded at 45 in December and 40 in February, but no-one said anything about that. My blood pressure has dropped

Diabetes
Diabetes Type 2 is sometimes described as "extreme
insulin
resistance
", but this isn't entirely correct.
Insulin
resistance
is just an adaptive mechanism that your body uses to apportion dietary glucose between different subsystems.

Does T3 use raise blood sugar levels?
Read a reply to an unrelated post, I think it was yesterday, that suggested that T3 raised blood sugars. Has anybody got personal evidence or printed research paper about this. As well as hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, fibromyalgia I am an insulin dependent diabetic( caused by sepsis/ acute pancreatitis

LADA
I’ve only heard of LADA diabetes today when my sister was told she has it. What should she expect? I’m type 1 so is that more or less the same? And diet and insulin and weight??

Relax...
I've been giving some thought about the whole paradigm surrounding LCHF, keto etc. Our ancestors, recent and past, were almost certainly never in ketosis, at least on a permanent basis but for people wanting to change their lifestyle some will freak out unless the urine sticks are purple, and will panic

Wk3 run 2. Seems quicker
So I completed the second run of week 3 this morning and although I’m following the podcast it seems that it’s all over quicker than the other weeks. Is this a normal feeling. I’m recovering quicker too which is nice. On the type 1 diabetes front I’m having to drop my doses of insulin and finally, bpm
