Seeking a neurologist

I am diabetic on insulin and currently having burning and extremely hot feelings in my feet. I have been advised by family doctor to see a neurologist. Can someone suggest a neurologist in GTA who specializes in diabetic related issues like this.

Hi Ashaika! I am pleased to meet you. I also have diabetes and am on insulin and it took me a while, but I actually got my sugars from 10 down to 6.9 as per diabetic 3months tests etc. I never thought it possible, but I proved to myself it is! We all know it’s not easy and even though my blood sugars are normal, I am still suffering bad with my Neuropathy. If your having a problem with your hands going numb to it and cramping and burning I advise you to use the microphone on your text button on your phone. Take one step at a time. Never be afraid to ask questions and be very diligent about making notes getting-printouts from your Doctors to help you understand what you’re battling. Log food and pain levels and flare ups. Keep a logbook that benefits you and your doctor, to increase better prognosis in the future and you’ll feel empowered and positive as you know your doing everything you can to help yourself. Remember to try to stay positive and take it one step at a time. We’re all here for you! Enjoy those small precious moments with your family and friends amen 🙏
