I’m been doing keto for over 2 weeks now and I’ve lost weight and gained my waist back.
I went on keto to help with my high cortisol issue as this is connected to insulin resistance. I also have an under active thyroid and seem to hit a Plateau with my improvement.
I feel really good, but, I don’t want to lose any more weight otherwise I’m going to start looking like a skeleton, as I wasn’t over weight before hand.
My question is can I now introduce some keto recipes, keto bread, keto chocolate and peanut cups etc.
I’m missing bread so thought it would be nice to have a bacon keto bread sandwich.
Do I still count carbs as 20g or increase this to keep my weight as it is.
Best wishes

Hi Peanut! Well done for getting to a place where you want to be. I am a novice at lchf (a month in), but I would imagine that as you don’t wish to lose more, then add foods you enjoy and see what happens. I believe healthy low carb eating is about 50g.? (Not that I measure my food in that way) Keto recipes should be lower than this, so they may not be necessary for you. (Though the few I’ve tried have been excellent! )!I’m a bit confused sometimes as low carb and Keto can be used interchangeably. On the public health Collaboration website they have a simple charts that you can download. One for weight loss and the other for healthy eating. Maybe that would be worth a look? Good luck ... 🌈
I am also not an expert but I have read that people tend to increase there carbs to an amount that maintains there weight. People introduce root veg again, beans etc. I have tried keto bread and had a BLT, was so good!
Lots of lovely recipes to try on dietdoctor.com with no charge and no adverts!!
Or
You could youtube "Keto or LCHF recipes" and have enough come up to keep you busy for a while!! I tend to watch them and then adapt them to my preferences..
Wishing you success to maintain and be healthy 🎉🎉🎉
