Type 1 diabetes awareness,
Good morning everyone, Most people are aware of type 2 diabetes which has links to obesity and a genetic disposition. But what about type 1 which's believed to be caused by the immune system wrongly attacking the pancreas where insulin is produced. So it's an autoimmune disease and this is a hard one

I have not posted on here for a while but have been doing a lot of reading. I have been feeling very very bad for the last two months. My levothyroxine dose was increased to 100mcg on March 15th 2018, I felt awesome through to the end of August and I then started feeling worse in September with fatigue

Question about kidney disease.
Hey, I just got home from the ER last night for a Gallbladder attack. I noticed that there were many abnormal test results on my bloodwork. I had a slightly lower EGFR and high BUN rate around this time last year, but with a normal Creatinine level. Last night's blood test results show a BUN of 30, a

First SI - fainted!
Decided to SI b12 I’ve got 2ml glass vials of cyanocobalamin from a pharmacy in Spain and the 1ml insulin syringes with the very fine needles, so need to do 2 injections for each vial. I’ve watched some videos and practiced on an orange and injection number 1 into the top of my left thigh went very well

Type2 Diabetes
I saw a consultant diabetes Doctor last Friday. I wanted to try and identify the cause of my type2 diabetes. I was suprised to learn about the lack of tests available which can tell me. There's nothing that can show how healthy my insulin is. There's no tests that can identify Pancreas issues. I know

amlodipine
My mother is 76 and takes insulin. But she is also on so many pills each chasing the side effects of the others. Recently this came to a head as she was prescribed amlodipine which made her legs swell up. She complained, and the kidney doctors told her to come off amlodipine but the GP would not take

My new avatar is my great grandson Jaxon. My last post ( 6 months ago) was to state that rheumy considered the PMR activity in my body was relatively inactive but to remain on maintenance dose of 5mg until seen again. Fast forward to to 5th Sept--I had blood tests, doctor's appointment and nurse re-dressing

Here's an interesting question (I think) for the more technical members of this group. the three items listed on the title, have shown some evidence of anticancer activity, if not in real life conditions, at least in vitro experiments. these compounds come from very different sources, yet they do
