Lexipro had basically killed me
This shouldn’t have happened but it did. Do anyone know if anything can be done for the following. I am absolutely desperate for help. Have you ever heard of this? I’m in a very bad way. I had an immediate adverse reaction to an SSRI and it won’t go away. It’s literally destroying my brain

Hi everyone, I recently had my pancreas removed instantly making me a T3C diabetic. Bad times. Wondering if there are any fellow travellers out there on this forum and any tips they could give me. Finding it really hard to control my levels oscillating between low and high. Guess it’s all about getting

Dialysis the only Option??
My husband had emergency surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm which lasted well over 9 hours, as a result the blood flow to the kidneys was tied off and they are not working at all, GFR 6. The hospital has placed him on 3xweek dialysis, they are not offering any other options, are there any? They have

Quick one - I never know what is enough to bother the transplant team. Husband is 12 weeks post transplant, 4 weeks off pred but suddenly got an outbreak of exzema (hasnt really had since a child). He is itching all over and its spreading fast(daily). All liver results have been good and not due in clinic

Still flaring after increasing Pred ? what do I do next please?
I started a pred reduction from 8.5 my to 8mg on 25 June using DL’s 5 week tapering schedule. I was doing ok but on day 19 day I started to get the tell tale signs of a flare. I continued for a couple of days but was getting no better so I posted for advice. It was recommended that I go back and repeat

dreaded GP request for bloods
Well there it is. It took longer than I expected I must say - around 7 years since I started my (real) thyroid journey, and about 5 since I last spoke to a GP about it, but the call has finally come. No more T3 until they have bloods. Of course I have bloods, but they almost all show me being over

Face swelling on the left side
I am Hypothyroid/Hashimoto's and insulin resistant and vitamin D and B-12 deficient Just wondering - what would cause the left side of your face to swell. It comes and goes. Been to the dentist several times thinking it was a tooth. But no. Its not a dental issue any ideas?

starting home dialysis
Hi. I am 49 years old. I am getting the catheter put in my stomach in 2 weeks, so that I can do the home dialysis. Is it called PD? I forget what it's called. But it's the one I do when I'm sleeping. I feel like there is just no support or help to prepare for this. My insurance has some place

Blood test timing when insulin dependent
I have been underactive ever since RAI over thirty years ago. Unfortunately, due to poor management of thyroxine dosage (consultant didn't know what he was doing and left me to GP) I gained a lot of weight which just wouldn't shift. So I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and was prescribed Metformin

Blood Sugar Monitors
Hi - I’m nearly 10 months post Ivor Lewis and doing well. I do get dumping episodes though, and (I’m self diagnosing here!) they can include what presents as the drop in blood sugar Insulin trigger aspect (as well as all the other bits..!). Not a disaster, and sometimes self-inflicted by unwise eating

Anyone have an opinion on this issue as I prepare to see a MO?
Could the PET/CT SCAN have read the high glucose in my system as met pelvic lymph nodes and met bone? Just asking since I was looking over my medical records for the last 10 years and the calcium number has always been in the mid-range, but the glucose has always been very high. (I am a type 2 diabetic
