Two weeks ago I was having breakfast ( granola and weetabix) and FaceTiming a niece , when I felt like I swallowed a bit when I was talking and it felt abit weird. I didn’t need to gag or cough or get sick, carried on as normal. Since then I have a lot of nasal congestion every day. I have never had

Transplant & hysterectomy?
I'm discussing a prophylactic hysterectomy (keeping ovaries) due to risk from
immunosuppressants
(acknowledging there's not a lot of data) and having frequent abnormal gyn exams (i.e. paps, colposcopies, leep).

Confused about hydroxychloroquine
Hi, Can any one clear my confusion up as to whether hydroxychloroquine is an immunosuppressant and if we are classed as high risk? When I was prescribed the tablets last year I had an appointment with the Pharmacist of the hospital who went over them with me and told me that if I get an infection etc

Behcets and fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue symptoms?
If you have behcets plus fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue, can you describe your symptoms? I am having all sorts of issues and while I’m sure some of it is from fibro/cf, I am not sure how much is one versus the other.Has anyone gotten relief from their severe fatigue and lack of energy, as well as pain

Immunisation
If they do find a vaccine how would they ensure those on
immunosuppressants
are the first to receive it. As a completely new disease there must be difficulty finding a vaccine.

Signs of flares and duration of tapering doses
My consultant thinks I may need to be prescribed
immunosuppressants
. Any information around tapering, these symptoms/ meds and likely timescales would be really helpful. Thank you.

Not Happy
After receiving 3 letters and many texts from the government and NHS placing me on the most vulnerable/at risk/shielding list, I contacted the GP to see if my 3 monthly blood test could be done at home so I did not break the leaving the house rule (blood test necessary due to being on

Corona Virus vaccine???
I have 3 of the auto-immune conditions - but thankfully not the really serious ones that require
immunosuppressants
or steroids. I always understood that having any type of vaccine could bring on another autoimmune condition - as the body wrongly starts to attack other parts of the body.

Isolation during chemo
Now I have to be extra-careful, as does my daughter who takes
immunosuppressants
for Rheumatoid Arthritis. My husband seldom goes out, and when he comes in, he throws his clothes in the wash.

Methotrexate injections, second attempt at immunosuppression
In my last post I mentioned starting Azathioprine, unfortunately only managed 7 days due to severe gastritis issues. After a phone call with the Rheumatology nurse today I've been put on Methotrexate injections. Given telephone instructions and will be sent an email with a link on how to inject 😮.
