Two weeks ago I was having breakfast ( granola and weetabix) and FaceTiming a niece , when I felt like I swallowed a bit when I was talking and it felt abit weird. I didn’t need to gag or cough or get sick, carried on as normal. Since then I have a lot of nasal congestion every day. I have never had any lung problems and they work fine. Since the incident I have a dull ache in centre of chest. When I lie in bed and swallow I get a gurgling sound a little bit which I get during the day with some liquids. I can eat and drink fine. I feel abit like I have swallowed a tablet and it’s not fully gone down. But I can eat and drink ok and I don’t think breathing has been affected , perhaps slightly. I feel an ache in the chest. I spoke to a GP today and they said get a nasal decongestant . I was considering going to A and E but they said get back to them if it doesn’t resolve and they didn’t think it was too bad. Any advice would be helpful. I am on an immunosuppressant treatment for multiple sclerosis but they immune system is not too bad at the moment. Thanks

If you are still feeling the same then please get back in touch with them. If nothing else it will put your mind at ease. Hope this helps, have a good night and take care 😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈
GERD can cause a feeling of an ache in the centre of the chest, as well as a feeling like something is stuck in the gullet. Have you tried something like Gaviscon, peppermint tea or another reflex remedy to see if that eases things?
I used to get that gurgling sound in the stomach after drinking fluids when I was having a gastric migraine and my digestive system had shut down for a while. The remedies above or fennel tea might help that too.
I wonder if, as you were eating granola you scratched yourself ? My sister did this, eating a crisp and it took a while for sore place to heal. Just an idea.
