Steroid to fight NK cells and covid
She mentioned that there is new reluctance to prescribing steroids for NK cells at the minute as they as
immunosuppressants
which would make it easier to contract covid and fight it off. Has anyone any further info on this? Has anyone not been prescribed steroids for this reason?

Fantastic local support group
We had been in a very difficult situation, with my heart, and my husband on
immunosuppressants
, no supermarket delivery slots etc etc. They have been a life line. Organising fresh veg and fruit for us and doing our visits to our dependant aged relatives, drug deliveries for all of us, and more.

Addison's Patients Are at High Risk of Respiratory Infections and Males with Low Testosterone Levels More Likely to Die From Coronavirus.
I was led down a rabbit hole on Google when researching if taking steroids for Addison's was considered immunosuppressant while completing an NIH "All of Us Research Program" survey on Covid-19. I initially thought that it pertained to those patients with Addison's caused by an autoimmune disorder.

Vasculitis and immunosuppressants
I have GPA, diagnosed 7 years ago and currently kept under control with azathioprine. I am now on a very low dose and my consultant has occasionally considered taking me off it altogether. I intend to ask him whether I should stop taking the medication for the time being until the Corvid-19 virus eases

Lupus/dermatomyositis overlap for 12 years
Last September I came off
immunosuppressants
and have been well since then. I have just started to get joint pain again in my fingers. -What I wanted to ask is should I be self isolating? I still get the flu jab. Thanks

Immune System Discovery Could End Chronic Organ Rejection.
Chronic rejection of transplanted organs is the leading cause of transplant failure, and one that the field of organ transplantation has not overcome in almost six decades since the advent of immunosuppressive drugs enabled the field to flourish. Now, a new discovery led by researchers at the University

COVID-19 advice please: Lupus but only take Hydroxychloroquine!
I am confused- do I come under the 12 week isolation or is it only if taking
immunosuppressants
as well? They keen referring to those who have the flu jab (I do!) I've read the excellent updated information on this site but still don't know! Many thanks Jo

Worried
Bit more info, when I flare my temp goes up to 37.5 which is high for me because of steroids, ritux and other
immunosuppressants
. I burn up as part of my disease but I’m worried if I don’t sweat ( and I mean not at all ever), I’ll explode.
