happened to see this article In a news feed regarding B and T cells, Covid and antibodies…
I have wondered why if we don’t make antibodies by getting vaccinated, then why bother. This article gives me some hope that we are protected more than I thought. Hope that this article is credible. Just wanted to post it for our information. Subject may have been touched on before in HealthUnlocked

Week 3 done
I finished week 3! Very happy to have made it this far! Up to 3 minute runs. The routine is going well although it's becoming more challenging to get out into this freezing cold weather!! The week has once again progressed with even more health news. I had some abnormal blood tests that indicate I do

changing hospitals
hi, I have GPA have been diagnosed since 2020. I am considering changing hospitals that deal with my care, as I just don't feel like I'm getting the treatment and care that I need. I've not been on treatment for a year now, after the immunosuppressant beginning with A that I can't remember the name of

Let’s see? Bowel perforation and GCA Flare ?
I’ve been absent for a while…Reader’s Digest Version to follow. Though I haven’t been posting, I’ve been reading for a bit, and as usual….” You raise me up,” and I’m grateful. You may recall I had shoulder replacement surgery in July, and my arm is in amazing condition considering the interruptions

Lunch chat about vaccines
I've just been out to lunch with a u3a group, all getting on in years and many with various medical complaints. Some at my end of the table were saying that they are not having any more Covid jabs as 'they had had enough' now and had declined the appointments that they had been offered. I tried

I'm going to stick my neck out and say that I enjoy reading the posts here. Why? Because somewhat belatedly, they reassure me that I am not the only one! For those that wonder if things will improve, my story..... It was a Sunday in March 22 that my partner found me collapsed at home with a brain

rituximab
Hello All, I hope you are all doing ok. I wondered if anyone has had rituximab infusions for their myositis and what the experience has been like - impact on disease, side effects, infections due to immune suppression, infusion process itself? The rheumatologist has given this as a potential option

COVID vaccine - old stock in use in the UK
Apparently, in order to save money, the British government decided to use the old stock of COVID vaccines, and they were doing so until a week (or so) ago. Hence, more than 2.3 million older and immunosuppressed people received the vaccine that does not match the dominant strain (XBB ), including people
