Germantara: I've getting my medical... - Lung Conditions C...
Germantara
Try not to Google Germantara as it’s not a great read. Pete was diagnosed with COPD in 2010 and is stage 4 l believe but he’s doing ok and never Google’s health problems. Xxxx
Sassy is right, best not to Google or at least only open British sites because other nations have different ideas, information. I have found the NHS website the most sensible and it doesn't scare the pants off
I'm going to pass on that from now on I normally don't but won't try that again brain went in over drive ill keep my curiosity at bay from now on
No one knows how long any of us will live. I have had stage 4 emphysema since 2018 and I'm still plodding on.
Hi best not to look these things up it's scary. when I was diagnosed with copd and bronchietasis on top of asthma I had a look and it said 10yrs I was not having that as was 54 at the time,so I did pulmonary rehab and blf gym exercise each week and had 2 bouts of pneumonia got well again and now I am better than ever with my lung clearance exercise and eating healthy so I do not plan on going anywhere anytime soon .Good luck
All docs say stay away from Google. For one thing you don't always know how old the info is!
There are a number of people on this site who have gone well beyond what Dr. Google tells them is their expiry date. Don't believe him. Just go on living as healthily as possible, eating well, exercising as much as possible and having all the fun you can get. xxx
Every word you said is true I just stressed I've had my funneral arrangements in place for over 30 years I've always told son and daughter what's what I've been very open about that subject but I've always planned writing them a letter each telling them I loved did my best other bits an bobs and I thought blimey thought I had plenty time and just panicked
Hi Germantara, avoid google life expectancy reports. But do try to keep any health condition as stable as possible. Avoid infections with the stage you have been told. I have had lung issues for many years now ,amongst other things , but have the injections for flu ect and now the virus , I have even survived the virus but was mighty ill at the time and took some time to recover. There are far more treatments nowadays to keep you as healthy as possible to spite long term chronic illness. No one can predict when we will leave this world so live life to the fullest you can while you can. Best Wishes.
Hi Germantara.
Now Google can be very useful for finding some information, contact details etc (it's how I found this site in the first place) but it doesn't have a medical degree. I was diagnosed over 15 years ago at Stage 4 COPD (Emphysema). My stats have not changed significantly in the last 8 years and whilst I do have to use ambulatory oxygen if the weather's not too good or I'm hoovering, gardening etc. I live my life with whole days not thinking about my health.
As all the others have said, eat well, exercise and stay away from bugs!
Please stay away from Dr. Google, you’ll scare the pants off yourself 🐞
Yes I will thankyou I've had good advice from everyone I won't be doing that again I never use Google but because I wanted to know what these medical words were I thought I would see what it meant never again if I want to know anythink in future I just post and I get good advice from peaples experience or suggestions or to explain what they know about a medical name
Google is not your friend. I have a friend who was given less than 2 years to go, with cancer, but they are still here 8 years later enjoying life and getting out and about!
