Knee replacement - biologics
Had an appt with knee consultant today. Need a replacement done but he won’t commit to doing it until I get a ‘meds plan’ from my rheumatologist re biologics (I’ve recently started on Amgevita). He wants info on how long before surgery to stop taking it. I’m also on Methotrexate and Sulphasalazine but

I’m re-posting in case anyone has any insights on these results ….
these tests were done after I had increased my ThyroGold dose from 450mg to 600mg but I have not felt any discernible improvement in my symptoms which have got worse. I had a total knee replacement last July and things seem to have gone haywire since then.

Started simple stretching today.
I'm 67, have a bad hip, first stage hypertension, am overweight (though have lost 10kg !) And am as stiff as a board. I had a complete knee replacement 18 months ago.I've started simple stretching today, with a view to continuing daily. This is a prelude to commencing an exercise routine, probably at

Aortic Stenosis I’m so confused!
Hi all, so glad I’ve stumbled across this forum!!!. I was found to have a heart murmur by accident in 2012. I was put under cardiology where they told me I had a bicuspid valve and was seen every 3 years initially. Iwas later signed off because they said it wasn’t progressing but to go back if I noticed

Titrating Armour and FT4/FT3 has tanked
I’m gutted because there had been a gradual increase in my FT3 throughout the last year titrating Armour (apart from a blip following covid at Christmas). It was at 75% in May! But now I know why I'm feeling so rough again: 24th Sept 2024 TSH 0.02 mIU/L (0.27 - 4.2) -6.4% Free T4 (fT4) 14 pmol/L (

severe lower left side pelvic pain that comes and goes? Urethral obstruction? Mirena related? Fibroid/hydrsospinx related? Colitis related?
I am 46. I have had a rough couple of years. In lockdown I discovered I had gallstones and a large kidney stone. It was only the gallstones causing attacks. That was removed successfully. I then had a ureteroscopy to remove the kidney stone. This lead to ureteral spasms months afterwards. I then had

Is this poor conversion?
Hi all, it's been a while since I posted. My thyroid results are just in and these are the results and GP want to speak to me. They were done 1st thing in morning before food and didn't take my 175mg of Levothyroxine that morning. TSH has been 0.05 for years. I think I'm not converting T3 properly now

Anyone noticed a worsening of FND symptoms on the Perimenopause?
Hi everyone,My Wife has had FND since 2011, she's come a long way, from being in a wheelchair, then wearing two leg braces and having a few appointments with a Neurophysiotherapist a few years ago. She still has issues, but she's been about 7 months into the Perimenopause. She's now 46. She won't take

Think I’m giving up on HRT, endo & bleeding flaring yet again…
Hello, I’m a regular on here. Some of you know me, others probably not. Wanted some advice so I’m going to keep it simple. 1. I’m 53 with a history of endometriosis all my life. Debilitating and just absolutely rubbish for me. Like all of us on here. I’m unfortunately no different. 2. My periods

Low bp causing tiredness?
it’s just over a year since my cardiac arrest and I just had a review at my surgery. I was keen to try lowering my atorvastatin dose due to aches and pains and fatigue (and had also been warned I was sat risk of diabetes). They agreed to try lowering my dose from 80 to 40 mg and also arranged blood tests

Hysterectomy or both hysterectomy and oophorectomy?
Hi, I'm on my 4th month of Decapetyl injections. I'm due to be reviewed by Consultant on 23/9. I'm currently listed for ' full pelvic clearance' due to DIE. I'm 47 and have been fortunate to have X3 children. The reason for messaging is two fold.1) How many of you have had both hysterectomy and oophorectomy

25mgs Methotrexate
Hey there all, hope you're all as well as you can be. I would like to know if anyone has tried Hormone Harmony as an equivalent to HRT? I've done my own research and the ingredients don't seem to counteract with mtx. However, as predicted the Company won't confirm this obviously coz of legal implications
