New to HRT-which treatment ???
Hi - I have an under active thyroid and taking medication . There are so many different types of HRT how does a GP decide on treatment ? Could two different GPs suggest different treatments or is there a straight forward way of deciding on HRT ? Thanks all š

Knee replacement
In the past year, I have gone from completely mobile to completely dependent on my walker. I have had bad knee pain, so I saw an orthopedic surgeon about knee replacement, but he said the arthritis in my knees did not warrant replacement yet. However I got to thinking if I were to get the replacement

Peri-menopause or PAF
Hi, I'm a 50 yr old peri-menopausal woman. Out of the blue I had fast AF after eating very salty nachos. I went into NSR naturally. I then had an infection, a few months later and again ended up in fast AF. I needed 2 lots of Bisoprolol to get it under control. A month later, I overdid a walking holiday

At a loss š¢
Hi there wondering if anyone out there has any advice. I had a bilateral salpingo oopherectomy 10 weeks ago. I was told after this op that everything should be good and I would be Endo free. My ovaries were āstuckā to the pelvis cavity. During the laparoscopy my surgeon took biopsies and also looked

I had a rise in levothyroxine in nov 2021 and would appreciate any thoughts on my recent results and whether I need more or if I may need to see if I need to supplement with T3. I'm sure your laughing by now as I know that its rare to get T3 now.I started taking b12 daily plus k3 d3 both as a spray and

Well, phooey!
But I am allowed to walk and today I had a lovely Parkrun walk along our prom with Coddfish as she recovers from her
hip
replacement
operation. At 57:11 we still managed to better the time we did it in last weekend - walk or run, those PBs still entice that little extra effort donāt they!

Dose for new to HRT
Hi. I have just been prescribed Estradiol in patch form. I have not started to use them I have been prescribed 50mg. On the webpage you recommended "menopause matters" it suggests starting on a low dose around 10mg. Anyone have any experience of what dose is usual for new users, as I am considering

Update on results and info from Rhuematologist.
The good news: I had an eye examine which included a Gloucoma check and damage or signs of GCA. I am in the clear and I have 20/20 vision with my glasses on, crisp she called it! The bad news: Not really bad but frustrating. The answer I got back from the Rheumatologist that I posted last Thursday,

Has anyone had HRT implants? Would love to know your experience and where youāve had them done please
Hi ladies, Iām wanting to have Oestrogen and Testosterone implants as I donāt absorb transdermal HRT. Itās my only option left as I have dreadful menopause symptoms since my hysterectomy. As far as I know theyāre not available on the NHS so Iām wondering if anyone can recommend a private clinic/hospital
