prostrap injections
Hi All, thank you for the add- I am new here. I have ademomyosis, fibroids and also possibly endometriosis. I am listed for a total hysterectomy but start (thursday!) prostrap injections to see how I would cope with no ovaries (with add back HRT) and to check the effect on my terrible ovulation symptoms

Another article from the Guardian regarding an alternative to HRT for those suffering from hot flushes during menopause. However it looks like its only going to be available privately for now. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/dec/18/veoza-fezolinetant-menopause-drug-hot-flushes-wins-uk-approval

Aids post knee replacement
I'm due a total knee replacement next month. I already have an easy reach grabber, a leg raiser and a raised toilet seat from when I had a new hip last year. Are there other things that people have found helpful? Thanks 😊 x

Just wanting to know if anyone of you who have had a
hip
replacement
went privately anywhere in Bedfordshire or very nearby. Any recomendations and experiences would be a great help. Also did any of you pay for just an initial consultation and they did it under NHS. Thanks cmjoyce

Experiences of using HRT after oophorectomy+ hysterectomy
Hello, Would anyone mind sharing their experiences of using HRT after oophorectomy+ hysterectomy? I'm wondering whether to persevere with trying to find something better, or just give up entirely. Thanks 🙂 (I had my op years ago. Took over 2 years to get past the meno symptoms (no HRT). Thought

I posted my daughters pre hysterectomy bloods in September and had some excellent advice. She has redone the blood tests and I still think the thyroid test results are strange. She has been on iron for 8 weeks. The first results are for September. And the second for

TSH & T4 levels
Hi everyone I’m new here. Can someone help me settle a bit of an argument around TSH & T4 levels please? I have recently had a consultation with Newson health who tell me on 100mcg thyroxine my TSH should be <1. My GP is denying that stating my TSH is normal at 2.5. My T4 is 18.0. I have felt like

HRT question: how long did it take to feel the effects?
I have been struggling with crushing anxiety, insomnia, depression for a few months. It's unlike anything I have ever experienced. I started HRT last week, and am hoping for a little easing of symptoms soon! Just curious about other women's experiences. Please share!

Results of MRI
So saw the endometriosis consultant today and he was very good. My MRI scan came back and showed extensive endometriosis that has obliterated my Pouch of Douglas and fully attached my rectum and bowel to my cervix. I've got an endo cyst on my left ovary and blood in left fallopian tube. Cervix is swollen

Help with blood results
I recently posted here for advice on whether I need levothyroxine as I have been subclinical for 10 years and now my tsh seems to be creeping up the last few weeks from 4.88 to 5.59 and now 6.15 all in the space of 3/4 weeks. I wonder if it is linked to the introduction of testosterone, I started hrt

Diagnosis and menopause
So yesterday was the day I got my scan done by the gynecology consultant she was very good and explained everything. I have alot of blood flow to my uterus and I have adenomyosis present in the back wall of my uterus. Part of me was shocked as I didn't think I'd have it deep down but It was confirmed

No stamina
I am confident I have my thyroid hormones at right level and most of my symptoms are gone. I am slowly losing weight, alert, happy, skin is better. My arthritis plays up hence the inflammation but my main issue is lack of stamina. I can only really do one thing a day after which I am wiped out and need

How long symptoms stay
hi I had 1 injection of Prostap end of sept and unfortunately I suffered with, headaches, insomnia, no appetite. I became really depressed and anxious as well. My dr said it works in your system 5/6 weeks and then stops and will start to leave my body. So I’m 4 weeks now past that. I’m just trying

Ovaries or no Ovaries
I'm 46 next week and have recently been diagnosed with a large fibroid approx 15cm x 10cm and also an ovarian cyst. Consultant has recommended an hysterectomy as I'm also having severe bleeding during my period and am very anaemic. Hysterectomy is also being recommended as my mother had breast cancer
