Just got my bloods back and would appreciate any advice what all these could mean and/or how I can myself get well(er) as I am not at all convinced this knowledge will ever come from my clueless but kind GP and NHS Endo. By way of background, thyroid disease runs in my family, and I have had years

AT LAST!
Good morning to all....after a few days of thought and taking it all , I am just sharing news of my operation date and am perhaps giving hope to those of you on the dreaded hospital waitlists. After a cancelled operation before Christmas.....after months of different emotions and failing mobility,

Good old Aspirin
In early 2019 I had a
hip
replacement
and the anaesthetist insisted that I go on Edoxaban which I did and have been on it ever since. I am now 79years old and still go to the gym 4 times a week. This is my initial contribution and I look forward to following others on here.

Defining the lag of TSH response to thyroxine

PMR and keeping physically active
I used to suffer from osteoarthritis - successfully treated with a
hip
replacement
- and found it was better if I could keep the joint moving. My experience of PMR on the other hand is conflicting.

I am 2 months into having a knee replacement & am still in some pain. I can walk without a stick but still cant stand for more than 10 minutes. Is this a sign of operation failure? When will it get better? I am very dispirited & depressed.

Medichecks Result and a warning about testing & HRT
Apologies for the long post (my first) and thank you if you manage to get to the end of it. Bit of history first (there's more in my bio), after 7 years of being bedbound with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, I was finally prescribed combination T3/T4 in 2018. I hadn't had my bloods checked since 2019

my List of References recommending GP's keep TSH lower in range : feel free to add any others you have in replies.
These references all recommend GP's keep TSH between 0.4/ 0.5 and 2/2.5 in patients on levo. Some were taken directly from GP update sources ,one was written specifically for GP's by Specialist registrars in cardiology and endocrinology , and one is from the 2023 consensus statement from leading endocrinologists
