Stress and menopause

Hello. For me menopause has been quite variable; over the last six months some breast pain, then bloating, then a period, then hideous nights sweats etc, never consistent. However, now My body is experiencing all the symptoms of stress, particularly insomnia, gi problems etc. I am not depressed , feel quite happy but the stress hormones seem to be taking over. I had stressful life events last year, but this year has been more settled. Has anyone else experienced this? I am not eligible for hrt so I guess I must start meditation etc to tame the stress hormones, but would be interested in your experiences and solutions. I eat well and exercise regularly. With thanks.
