The good news: I had an eye examine which included a Gloucoma check and damage or signs of GCA. I am in the clear and I have 20/20 vision with my glasses on, crisp she called it!

The bad news: Not really bad but frustrating. The answer I got back from the Rheumatologist that I posted last Thursday, March 31st, has been bugging me. Mainly because they did fill the order for the 5 mg but only ordered 77. I'm confused, that is 38.5 days and no refills! I figured I would let it go for now and when I need a refill I'll see what happens. I thought it was weird that he didn't ask how i was feeling, dispite the "slightly elevated" CRC at 10.9. I kind of dismissed it that it could be elevated because I was going through the "period" after going off of the HRT but to not ask why be so stingy with the 5 mg script?

The "wait & see" news: Results from the ultrasound; it looks like there is a thinkening of the cervix. The Dr, Ob/Gyn requested I come in for a biopsy and informed me he wanted a 2nd oppinion. I went in & the 2nd oppinion results: it's very likely a polyp. So the Ob/Gyn said he would check further for it while in and possibly get the polyp then but couldn't see it so had to go with the biopsy. Results not cancer. He truly felt that it would not show any cancer just the polyp which we had several options but back to the "wait & see" if I have any further issues. Not cancer, not really showing it is a polyp either. So still in the "wait & see" category. If I have any more bleeding will determine what step is next.

I'm happy to report, I have sucessfully done a slow taper from 15 mg to 13.5 mg and have started 12.5 mg! So far, so good! I have had my grandson 3 times since I last posted and things went just fine. I was a little tired after but I had so much fun with him and truly enjoyed his stay. He woke me up one morning and as I looked turned to look at him, his face lit up and he said "Maama, you're da best!" Just melted my heart!

Happy Mother's Day!
