ARMCHAIR EXERCISE
Hi folks can you recommend good websites for armchair exercises and advice for stiff knees. I use my exercise bike in short bursts 2/3 times a day, trying to build up the amount of time and move around more. I spend too much time on my laptop. I'm studying on line for a qualification, good marks above

Flu Vaccination
Hi, I work in a GP surgery and we are running Saturday clinics for flu vaccinations. If any one who arrives has a cough or cold or feeling unwell, we ask them to re-book for when they are feeling better. I too have been unwell with this horrid cough and chest infection but I am on the mend now. I will

Flu jab should I go?
Hya, I've got my flu jab on Wednesday but had a really bad cold, it's eased slightly but I've practically lost my voice from coughing so much, I did a lateral flow test last night which was negative so assume its not covid. I've also got a slightly sore throat from coughing & trying to speak, I've also

Sifrol withdrawal, need Help Please.
Hello all together, I took my last Sifrol 66 days ago. I didn't go the cold turkey way, I started in November 2020 tapering to dosage of 0.03 Mg. (I started with 0.09mg 3 years ago) I don't have restlesslegs anymore. Since I quit i think I do have DAWS. Not all symptoms but extremely anxiety, panic

A Better late than never run !
I was intending to run on Saturday but was not feeling too good . I had a flu jab the day before so not sure if this was the reason , I did feel as though I was starting with a cold . So decided to have a restful weekend and run today (Monday) as I don't need to work untill the afternoon and luckily

Alcoholic experiencing liver tenderness and random pains yet ultrasound and bloods do not indicate cirrhosis.
I’ve had shoulder pain, random liver pains and occasionally my lower right rib cage is tender to even touch. I explained my concerns to my doctor, had blood screening and full abdominal ultrasound, gallbladder, liver, kidneys, aorta etc we’re all within the norm, the spleen slightly on the large side

Covid booster and flu jab
Has anyone had both jabs at the same time? I'm booked in for both tomorrow and just a little concerned. Thought I may as well be a little rough for one or two days rather than be rough again in a few weeks!

Solutions for GP’s ?
I’ve just been involved in a conversation on this site re the disappearance of GP’s and the probability that we may never return to the pre COVID system of face to face appointments and a friendly local GP coming to visit you in your own home All the participants in the conversation are equally baffled

Given up asking, nobody gives a fig
Fig is a substitute word. After trying to get my darling wife who has MF and is without a spleen, along with a portal vein thrombosis a third covid vaccination and a flu jab, I have given up. The whole system is broken, she had her flu jab by this time last year. This year the GPs are hiding away not

Steroids and your serotonin
I'm talking about serotonin not melatonin. Just something nice figured I would ask and see if you run into the same problem I did. I was prescribed steroids to hold me over until I start my new medicine. I haven't been on steroids for a long time and so I was able to go through a situation I wasn't

2021 flu jab for over 65s…. Exhaustion going on after it
I’m wondering if anyone is experiencing overwhelming exhaustion ( more than usual level) after this years over 65 flu jab? I had it 2 weeks ago. Admittedly I wasn’t feeling great when i had the jab, a crash, but didn’t want to not have it early ( have a chronic lung condition). I feel worse than ever

3rd dose or is it a booster?
When I had my flu jab last week I enquired about the 3rd dose/booster though the receptionist wasn’t aware of any differences, however a lady in front of me had just cancelled her booster slot so I managed to get that booked in for the next day after the flu jab in the same arm. When I saw the jabber

What do you think?
Good Morning Lovely PMR People, So my Covid 19 experience is mostly over and my self-isolation ends at midnight on Tuesday 12th October. My question is - how soon should I go and get the flu jab? I don't want anything to set off my PMR. Maybe it's a dumb question (I'm good at those) because who

I had the third vaccine at a mass vaccination centre outside Edinburgh yesterday evening. The admin lady who checked my appointment said it was going to be Moderna so I showed her the copy of the Blood Cancer UK letter- she checked with her supervisor who said I must discuss it withe vaccinator. He

Flu jab
I got my flu jab last Monday which made me feel pretty unwell until Wednesday plus a sore arm. I know we are all individuals so everyone’s reaction may be different but just in case, don’t make concrete plans for a few days after just in case.x😻😻

Covid booster
Does anyone have the definitive information on the Covid booster? I have heard that the vaccine for vulnerable patients differs from the one being used generally, but when I mentioned this to the nurse administering my flu vaccination this morning, she didn't know what I was talking about! Also, I understood
