I got my flu jab last Monday which made me feel pretty unwell until Wednesday plus a sore arm. I know we are all individuals so everyone’s reaction may be different but just in case, don’t make concrete plans for a few days after just in case.x😻😻

Sorry to hear you are unwell after Covid booster. Not had that one yet, so something else to look forward to. I’m feeling a lot better now but just wanted to warn forum members to be careful with their planning as I got caught out, thinking “I’ll be fine!”

Last year my hubby was okay too and I wasn’t, so hopefully this year he will be okay too. Take care, treat yourself, E hugs, Aime x😻😻

Thank you Aime, pleased you are feeling better. My Dr told me that to have a reaction means the vac has worked! I have to say I was not convinced as He gave me anti biotics to ease the swollen arm which also happened! I recovered as you have, this 3rd Covid vac has affected me in rather a worse way,I had only just seen my Consultant the week before who was really pleased with my bloods ,spleen & tests for all other organs. So I am shocked to have this reaction. We never know what next.Good to know you are ok again Aime,no doubt I will be soon.Lets blame the change of seasons!!!!

We have suddenly gone from very hot ,to very chilly mornings & evenings, then hot at mid day, most unusual ,Climate change !!!!!😿😻 e hugs to you .we need them .Sally

Thanks Sally, hugs really appreciated. My bloods are behaving I hope, got tests on Monday. My arthritis is getting worse and I’m really fed up of it, as I’ve got osteoarthritis in my knee which is affecting my feet, my already replaced knee, hip, etc because I’m not walking properly. Just been told the osteoarthritis isn’t as bad yet that he wants to operate! Consultant said - the op has to be at the right time. I nearly said the right time for who?

Sorry to go on, meant to support others, not moan. That’s great that your bloods, spleen etc are doing well. Yes, the weather up here is very muggy and warm, so unlike the north east of Scotland. More E hugs to you, Aime x😻😻

Hope you are feeling better. I have felt ill after flu jabs before this year. This time I was expecting a reaction and was pleasantly surprised I had nothing. Hope third covid jab is as easy. Try and get out in fresh air even with autumn upon us. I get out for a walk as best I can. Knees not too good. Just short walk around the village for me. The weather is changeable in Devon too. Enjoy your Sunday and stay safe.

Hello Haze Blue,We lived in Devon for many years,it is very beautiful but gets oh so damp. That doesn't help arthrose pains at all, even if you stay active. We bred competition horses so we're very active outside summer & winter. Now we are SW France,an area between two great rivers, gets damp here as well in the winter tho a short one & early spring, long summer. So lots of arthritic people here too. I still exercise ,have dogs who need walks & care but like Aime my osteo arthritis in long ago fractured limbs is getting worse.

A French friend introduced me to Qi Gong......it's a slower sort of Yoga ,it works well for her ,I am going to try.Its on U tube too worth a look.Keep well & hope your 3rd Covid vac goes well.I am recovering a bit now...about time.😊

We went to France and lived in Lauzun in 2004 and came back at end of 2012. Nice area but prefer Devon . Was an experience . We were members of a motor cycle club in Villarreal . Hope Brexit hasn’t made it difficult for you. What sort of dogs do you have?

No Aime ,it's not moaning about yourself,it helps others here to know they are not alone with pain and other problems. Sometimes I feel that I am the only one who hurts or worries about our odd blood conditions & aches.I have just read about your osteo arthritis so much worse is yours than mine. Yet you cope with it. That helps me to cope with mine & surely helps others who read about it.This probably is no help to humans ....my older German Shepherd has osteo A in his right hip.Has pain Meds from our vet .Some time ago we discovered a German product for dogs & cats, containing Collagen & Green lipped mussels.Within a few months of giving him this product he is bouncing about like a young dog.....no pain either !!!!!!!!

Just thought it would amuse you . e hugs 😻😳

I’m desperately waiting for the re-opening of my local hydrotherapy pool. When I step into the warm water (about 34C), everything just relaxes and pain goes. It’s such a release from pain, can’t explain the relief it gives, so definitely recommend. Hopefully re-opens on 18th of this month. Xx😻😻😻🥰

Hi Sally, very interesting re treatment of your dog. Our cat was able to get painkillers that worked 24 hours at a time, why can’t humans get this! Might be googling that German product to see if humans can consume also.xx😻😻

Yes ,I know what you mean....our pool gets up to 30 degrees just from the heat of the sun,My hubby swims everyday whilst the water stays warm,he swears by it to keep his painful joints relieved.Just last week we had to put the winter covers over as the chill nights have dropped the temperature.Already he is taking Ibuprofen as he is suffering knee & back pain, keeps him awake.I do normally go into the warm water ,but this summer I had 2 lots of surgery for carcinoma on my eye lid,I had dressings on for a long time, the graft had to be protected from water, wind ,sun...so that was that.

I really hope your therapy pool opens soon, damn this Covid it has spoilt so much of life.

I can send the name of the German company ,I am not sure if they do human Meds.

We used to get'You Move' they do human Meds for human & animals. We cannot get it because of Brexit the Douane is very expensive for anything from U K.

Will mail the co.tomorrow. 😻Keep going. e hugs.

Thanks, Sally, no rush - just send it when you can. I know the pool will make a huge difference. Also waiting on my second opinion from my consultants colleague on my knee, which hopefully won’t be long.x. Take care 😻😻

Yes, although I’m exhausted and sore once they go, I’m so happy having seen them and heard all their stories, they give me a huge emotional lift and I cope with fatigue and pain much better.x😻

Yes I find if I rest too much I can’t climb my way out of that hole but being with the children I can.

Hi Aime,Good to hear your story, not a moan at all on here, it's what we are allowed to do on this forum as we all share so much of the same issues!

I too have osteoarthritis, have had one hip done, and our MPNs make it worsen because of their inflammatory overeaction. Feels like my other hip is beginning the same journey...and am getting knee pains regularly, worsening now the weather is getting colder/damper.

I have my moan days, and it really helps me that I am not the only one.

On the third vaccine side of it, had my third 2 days ago and have had no response at all. Living wise this is nice, but if a response means that my body is building protective antibodies/Tcells, then it is not a good thing :( Had prepared for a few bad days because of people's experiences on this forum...

Take care x

Hi Minu68, everyone is different with their reactions to jabs. My hubby usually has minimal or no reaction to flu jabs and is still fine, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Sorry to hear you have OA too. The hydrotherapy pool is my best medicine once it opens, fingers crossed next week! If you hear a big splash, that’s me jumping for joy into the pool !😻😻 take care x🤣
