stop prednisone with flu vaccine?
I was told not to take my prednisone and antiviral to receive flu vaccine. Has anyone heard of that? That it would be less potent. When do we recommence ? Thank you!

Flu Jab and Heart Failure
Hi All, New on here, just wondering whether anyone has had the flu jab after being diagnosed with Heart Failure? I have an Ejection Fraction between 30%-35%. I had 1 stent in the LAD in July. Had angina as well. Is it advisable to have the flu jab?

Timing of flu vaccine when on weekly Tocilizumab
Hello all After an unsuccessful trial of 5 months without Tocilizumab, I am back on weekly injections. It's also time to have my flu jab. In the past when on two-weekly and three-weekly injections it was easy to fit the flu vaccine in not too close to the injections. Now, the best I could do would be

hello, I’ve had Covid vaccine last Friday and I still feel rubbish. Tired, nauseous , dizzy and forgetful. It’s like my brain doesn’t work properly. This is vaccine number 5. I had number 4 last year at the same time as the flu vaccine and I was really poorly. But the side effects didn’t last that long

Exercise and PMR
I am posting an update and a question. Since discovering I have PMR in Sept 2023 and starting on Pred at 15 mg, I have had a slightly bumpy start to my PMR journey. Was getting used to being on Pred when I had a visit from the Covid fairy which took a couple of weeks to clear, but I still feel I have

Worried about blood tests
Hi, I have had mildly elevated liver enzymes since 2019. I am female, 45, BMI 24.6 and I suffer from fibroids that cause me to have extremely heavy periods and I am often anaemic. I don’t drink or do drugs. High LFTs were first picked up during routine blood tests and my doctor said not to worry about

My Grim anniversary, Vaccine Type and Timing
With multiple fall vaccines now in use it seems timely to share our experience and advice on the timing of them. This has been discussed briefly in various threads. I invite comments on the below: In the past there was just an annual flu shot and its timing was just "sometime in the fall". No other

The Cause of my Afib - a short essay but a long post!
Apparently as human beings we are programmed to look for causes. It seems to be a stage many of us Afibbers go through despite the good advice of those with more knowledge and experience. So I thought it could be helpful to share my own journey through the folly of myth making and lost causes. And

Coincidence?
I was doing very well on peg interferon, which I started in July. I felt loads better than I had for a long time, with negligible side effect. However, the last few weeks I have been really tired and getting breathless after the slightest movement. I had my blood results on Tuesday, my haemoglobin had

Advice on halting bone loss following Dexa and hrt or other supplements.
Thyroid cancer at 23, high dose T4 requiring propranolol for 17 years, then battles over dosage post menopause as rules changed. T3, when measured, always seemed to be at a good level. I didn't take HRT as it was at the height of the cancer scare. I regret it now. Sjogrens and very low vitamin D diagnosed

Website for Vitamins?
Hi, could anyone point me in the direction of a reputable website where I can buy pure vitamins with no added fillers namely Magnesium, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B Complex, Selenium and Zinc. Ideally I would like to order all from the same website. Thank you!

Careful about vaccinations....
You think i'd learn that people voice opinions about taking vaccinations, but they are people without MS. I heard over and over again that it was safe to take both your flu vaccination and your Covid-19 current updated vaccination on the same day. Well, for me, that wasn't exactly the smartest thing

SIRVA
anyone have any experience with SIRVA? I am confident I am struggling with this in my left arm. It is not from B12 but from a flu shot. Pain for weeks following injection. Loss of strength and range of motion.

Combining the Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines.
I have read of some people who got both vaccines at the same time, and their experience was not good. However perhaps a different kind of Influenza vaccine combined with a COVID-19 vaccine might make things easier.? This approach is now being tested. Pfizer and BioNTech Announce Positive Topline
