Solutions for Severe Anemia
Hubby thought he was finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel, but unfortunately had a duodenal bleed in December. Ever since he’s been severely anemic. If he exerts himself in any way he becomes dizzy, nauseous and needs to have a nap for an hour or so. He feels tired all the time. It’s been three

Can someone help me to understand my blood results. Seems I will need treatment soon
After 5 years of W&W the consultant at Marsden is now of the opinion that now would be a good time to start treatment. He is, I believe, recommending O&V being first line treatment in the UK NHS. I am mutated. and key results are as follows ; WBC 98.6, HGB 123, RBC 4.21, MCHC 308, Neutrophils 13.8,

Low Iron and Vitamin D
My daughter has just received her ferritin results back from her GP. She hasn’t been issued with any iron tablets the graph shows she’s within the normal range but it is down at the bottom end when it needs to be at an optimal level, so I've read, My question is, can anyone recommend a good Iron vitamin

Weakness and fatigue after nearly 3 years of injections
Hi there, I started injections nearly 3 years ago. I have had varying frequencies, everything from eod to every 2 weeks. I had so much improvement in the first year or so, but since then it seems to have tapered off. Some symptoms that have improved include dark vision, depression, balance issues,

Severe Anemia and Imbruvica
I have been on 400mm Imbruvica for 6 years fighting CLL/SLL. I understand most patients consider them the same, I do not as I am tested every 4 months for both during Labs. So, please know this is not a debate for me, I simply have symptoms of both in post Labs with my Oncology expert. Most recently

B12 - advice on supplementing injections sought
Hi, I was recently diagnosed with pernicious anaemia. Initially put on 3-monthly injections. Changed to 2-monthly by GP because of recurrence of neurological symptoms (including frequent scintillating scotomas, migraine and balance issues). I'm keen to keep B12 level optimal and am considering supplementing

Swoping from SI using Hydroxocobalamin to Cyanocobalamin
Hi all, 👋 I have a question to all you good people out there.... I've been buying and self injecting for over 3 years now with Hydroxocobalamin from a Germany company. All I can buy now from them is cyanocobalamin. Is it ok for me to swop? If anyone has a link to send that sell Hydroxocobalamin, I would

Terrible reflux on Teva levothyroxine...help!
Hi, I have just started 50mg of Levothyroxine (teva). I have subclinical hypothyroidism with TPO antibodies. I took the tablets as advised on an empty stomach but they are causing terrible reflux symptoms. I persevered for 2 weeks but have had to stop taking them. The GP told me to try taking lansoprazole

Could Vitamin D3 affect hemoglobin levels?
My husband ( 84 years old) has had CLL for at least 20 years. Two years ago they started him on Imbruvica 420 mg daily but stopped it after 14 months because his neutrophil count was so low. Since June of 2022 he has been getting Eprex injections (40,000 units ) weekly and taking Aclovir 400 mg twice

Amgevita - low energy
Hi all, I've been on Amgevita for just over four weeks, and it's done a decent job of addressing my pain and inflammation. The only thing is, I feel really flat and lethargic. Has anyone found that there's a delay between getting relief from symptoms, and then getting your energy back? I know that

Infusion how long to "kick in"? Hehe.
I finally got my iron infusion (yay!) but it hasn't "kicked in" yet. No pun intended. Last night I had one of my worst yet. Zero sleep and threw up water & zofran all night. When I had my infusions in 2020 I was fresh out of COVID hospital and quite ill with pleural effusions... plus having been

Latest GP diagnosis is... I’m getting old! I'm 55! Help with next steps please… 😠
Hi everyone. So had my GP follow up since my previous posts. My ferritin is 26, which the GP informs me is the highest it’s been since they tested in 2017. She assures me it's fine as it’s ‘in range’ [10 – 180]. She insists I ‘categorically cannot have low B12 symptoms’ with an ‘above range’ B12

you don’t have to comment but please if you don’t mind say a prayer for my blood work tomorrow I’m very nervous.
I have to do my six month blood work other than Ativan I’ve stopped all meds that my dr has believed are causing my higher blood LFTs here’s hoping that’s all it was and nothing more. I did take some ibuprofen today for a headache hoping that doesn’t mess with my blood work. I do have a bad virus that
