What next, tests done but how do I interpret.
Still quite new here.......thank you for all the posts and responses to my first posts, it really helped to gear me up to get some test done. I've now had a full range of test done (but not T3)......here are most of them with ranges where I could get them. The GP just wanted to chat about my CHL levels

Blood glucose test strips
I would like to know about other's experience on using glucose test strips as they near their expiry date. My questions - 1. Till when they are safe to use (i.e., can we get reliable readings till they expire or we have to stop using them 1 month before the expiry) 2. Once they near the expiry

Update since supplementing Vits for 3 weeks
As I wrote previously, I was on Metformin 1000mg for a "diagnosis" of Type 2 diabetes, which after advice on here, I found out that it was the culprit in malabsorption of B12 (mine was 199 and insufficient). With Drs agreement I stopped taking the Metformin and started supplementing B12, Selenium,Vit

Reduction
My blood glucose has decreased from 10.5 to 7.6 and continuing. Can my diabetes be controlled or will I need meds? This has occurred in 4 weeks.

Type 2 Diabetes & Hashis
I have been posting a lot this week, but wanted to share this. I have been treated for Type 2 Diabetes for about 4 years, with Metformin. I was originally on two doses of 500mg a day (1,000mg), which my Dr increased to 2000mg a day last year. I found out this week that my B12 is insufficient and that

New Here and Think I'm Hypo, Have Long List of Bloods - Would Be Grateful for Thoughts
Hi, I've been lurking for a few days on here trying to get information as I have hypothyroid symptoms. I've found the site incredibly helpful already in trying to understand what is going on with me - now 52 and been to Docs over last 18months for various complaints which started with low libido. Thought

Why don't my well-meaning actions e.g. a walk or a visit to the gym, have no measurable effect on my blood glucose readings? I can't get what I do to affect my levels positively; if I could I'd do it more often.

Diabetic misery
No matter how hard I try I can't seem to get my sugars down to an acceptable level. This in turns causes me depression. My last hba1c was 6.8 but my doctor wants it below 6.5. I don't want my life revolving around my blood glucose levels.
