My mother has diabetes, Previously when my mother glucose level was 250mg/dl then Doctor recommended Amaryl -M1 tablet. Now while fasting her glucose level is 100 -130 mg/dl. My uncle also suffers from diabetes he is taking Dibizide-M for diabetic-type 2.

Dibizide-M (Glipizide(5 Mg) + Metformin(500 Mg))

Amaryl-M1 (Glimepiride(1 Mg) + Metformin(500 Mg)

Cost wise Amaryl cost 90Rs/10tablet and Dibizide-M cost Rs.10/10 tablet. Can she also starts having Dibizide-M for diabetes ??? i searched about Glipizide and Glimepiride both works same i.e. increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose.
