Kraft's Test for Insulin Resistance
Having a normal fasting blood glucose DOES NOT mean non-diabetic! In fact majority of diabetics have normal fasting glucose!! This was discovered by Dr Joseph Kraft in the 1970s. He designed a test called the Kraft's Test which measures how insulin-resistant one is. Insulin resistance develops slowly

Still struggling
ok, so i have purchased the book, and the blood glucose meter. Started using the meter over the weekend, first reading said "LO" reading the booklet it said to have something to boost my levels and recheck in 20 minutes. Had 3 jelly babies (head first!) and rechecked. Reading was 1.9. Booklet says

What next, tests done but how do I interpret.
Still quite new here.......thank you for all the posts and responses to my first posts, it really helped to gear me up to get some test done. I've now had a full range of test done (but not T3)......here are most of them with ranges where I could get them. The GP just wanted to chat about my CHL levels

Blood glucose test strips
I would like to know about other's experience on using glucose test strips as they near their expiry date. My questions - 1. Till when they are safe to use (i.e., can we get reliable readings till they expire or we have to stop using them 1 month before the expiry) 2. Once they near the expiry
