My random blood glucose was 10.5. With change in diet can it lower within a week? My body weight has also lowered. Do I need medication?

Healthy pancreas insulin secretion versus blood glucose level
Out of a study ( http://www.aafp.org/afp/2011/0715/p183.html ) a graph which shows FOR A NON-DIABETIC person - thus whose pancreas is secreting insulin normally - the blood glucose level over the day and corresponding insulin secretion.

Glucose Test
Hi. My test reveals the following: fasting 87 mg/dl and after two hours after meal - 187 mg/dl. I don't take any medicine and totally dependent on carbohydrate diet. My question is this: Is it safe or should i go for medicine?

Artemisinin: Capable of Reversing Type 1 Diabetes?

Vinegar and Diabetes, Do's and Don'ts
The limited available research suggests that vinegar taken before a meal may lower blood glucose from 20% to 33%.[10,12] The response may depend on the type of glucose load—that is, a more pronounced response with a high-glycemic vs low-glycemic meal or glucose-containing beverage.[11,14] Large amounts

ON WARFARIN and using a device to test your INR at home, your feedback will help inform of how mobile devices can impact on patients lives
Do you use a home test for the monitoring of a medical condition? This could include measuring your blood glucose or your blood coagulation (INR). If so, we could like to invite you to participate in a questionnaire study. Your responses will be anonymous and the questionnaire can be completed online

Is it normal to feel like this? Sorry to post again
I promise this is the last time I will post having a moan and seeking reassurance. I went through a lot of stress 5 years ago. My brother had a psychotic break and he attacked my husband and a year later he lost control again and attacked me. My family hurled abuse at me for making the decision to cut

Treatment of hypothyroidism with levothyroxine plus liothyronine: a randomized, double-blind, crossover study
Far, far too small a group. Why the chosen T4:T3 dosing regime? For some, a halfing of dose from 150 T4 to 75 with the addition of 15 T3. I can't see that being appropriate. (Odd to reduce the dose of some by by 50 and others by 75, don't you think?) No identification of how they felt before. Quite

"Not diabetic at this stage"
I recently got myself referred to an endocrinologist by having some blue horizon tests which showed that, while my tsh etc is technically in range, my antibodies are out of control. The endo was a total let down, and I've finally got a copy of the letter she sent to my GP discharging me. She says I look

SNAP SHOT of my DNA .... DID YOU KNOW YOUR DNA Weighs 7kg and mine is made up mostly of G's
Gee WIZ .. DNA is just amazing stuff and advent of data bases are ones creating cures .. DNA is like a coiled spring and when it gets diseased BITs are added to DNA thus un-spring's uncoils and THAT is very bad. But amazing thing about Dna & Steroids is the put the spring back into your DNA. "0","rs351855

Hormones playing role in balancing blood sugar levels
Scientists have discovered that people with diabetes not only make too little insulin for their bodies’ needs, but there are also other hormones they help balance blood sugar. Some of these hormones are glucagon, amylin, and GLP-1. Glucagon is a hormone produced by the alpha cells in the pancreas. It

Help Feeling Overwhelmed and GP thinks I'm fine
So I'm far from fine with periods of brain fog which thanks to this site I've looked into and do now unfortuantly feel quite daunted but it is what it is. Here are my blood results below, any feedback would be useful because I feel clueless: November 2016: - Serum TSH 1.57 {norm range 0.3 - 3.94} -

Glucotoxicity and Lipotoxicity: Reasons for Use of Insulin in Type 2 Patients
IR (Insulin Resistance) is more due to excess body fat, glucotoxicity and lipotoxicity. Weight control and good blood glucose control does reduce IR fairly rapidly. Glucotoxicity refers to the structural and functional damage in the beta cells and target tissues of insulin, caused by chronic hyperglycemia

New tests results
So you may remember I posted test results from 2014 the other day, saying I was due new blood tests. Well I've now got the results back and finally got some results!! It's a long list so any comments on any of it is much appreciated... I've summarised at the end for those short on time/energy! TSH 6.2
