Steroids and facial hair
Hi all, I have AIH and Cirrhosis. I have just been weaned off steroids and trying to see if I can manage taking azathoprine by itself. The steroids gave me a few side affects one being facial hair. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and if so, does the hair clear away after finishing

Alk phos level and ezetimibe
I have just been told that at 285 my alk phos is too high and I should start another drug called ezetimibe on top of the urso. I have to stop breastfeeding my 15 week old as a result so I just wanted any thoughts on this prior to taking this step which I'm quite upset about.

One week after TT and lymph node removal
Well here I am on the other side of my surgery, 5 months from seeing my Gp about my swollen lymph nodes. A six hour op waved goodbye to my Thyroid and all the anterior lymph nodes on the right side. Now swollen and sore, black and blue with a wound starting behind my right ear and finishing at my left

Eating healthy with rice - HOW?!
The image attached is actually a risotto dishes I made using millet, but I seem to have trouble eating a lot of millet as it facts poorly with my recent
gallbladder
removal
and digestive pains for some reason. I'm mostly on a vegan whole food diet so I use a lot of grains and seeds as staples.

Worsening pain- causes?
I'm looking for some advice....I had a saplingo oophorectomy? in March of this year. As I had my ovaries removed I've been taking Estelle HRT as suggested by my GP. My periods are still super heavy and my endo pain has dramatically increased. My GP said that the only way to cure the pain, is to stop

Egg extraction before ovariectomy?
Hello! I have various cysts and lesions. My biggest cyst is 7cm on my left ovary. The specialist (GYN-OB and surgeon) has recommended a laparoscopy, one where I don't know what I'll be coming out with - he will try to preserve the ovary but he may have to take it out along with the Fallopian tube. Has anyone here with liver PBC and additional liver diseases had a gastric bypass?
Hi all, I am looking for other people with PBC that have also had gastric bypass surgery. I am trying to find out what additional information we need to know. What questions we should be asking our doctors and basically about increased mal-absorptive issues to expect as our PBC progresses to stage
