Alk Phosphatase Level’s - URSO for 3 Months
Been on Urso for 3 months and ALT and AST levels reduced by 50%, but alkaline phosphatase was about the same. Doctor says to not worry since the one year mark is the true indicator on whether or not the drug is working. Another doctor said she does not consider the alkaline phosphatase levels as an indicator

Generic URSO & Effectiveness
This is a repost from a PBC patient on the Yahoo forum. It got me thinking about different brands of URSO and their effectiveness. I'm interested in any feedback because I've been on a "generic" URSO for 8 months with no change. My alk-phos fluctuates but has never normalized. Thanks, Stella I was

Vitamin D
Hi, back in August my Vitamin D was very low, 42 ( i can't remember the ranges). I was advised to take a supplement but was never told how much so I guessed at 5000iu per day. This helped for a little while, but I now feel rubbish again with the same symptoms - fatigue, no energy - could it be I'm not

Rib pain.
My son has IBS he always complains of being sore under his right rib area. GP says it’s all part of IBS and to keep taking his medication which he does but it doesn’t appear to help. He’s on Peppermint Oil caps, Audminal and Buscopan. I am afraid the GP is maybe missing something and it’s maybe more

Dragging my feet on starting ocaliva
I was diagnosed in March 2017 (caught by a random blood test during my annual checkup, I’m 49). While i showed initial improvement on Urso, it’s plateau’ed. I feel great, my fibroscan said that my liver was in perfect shape (4.4), my biopsy showed some early damage to my bile ducts consistent with PBC

Primary Biliary Cholangitis
Hello, I was originally told I have Autoimmune Hepatitis by my GP because of high enzyme counts. I just had a liver biopsy and found out I have stage 2 PBC instead. I see the internist in two weeks to determine a course of action. I would really like to hear from others who have this and what to expect

Any post-polyp success stories?
My illusive polyp is finally gone and I'm very pleased! It was spotted 8 months ago just as we were about to start our first cycle. 2 months later I had a hysteroscopy with local anasthetic but they couldn't find it so assumed it had gone by itself. And then just before our first FET it was seen on

Akaline phosfates almost normal
I'm soooo happy. Just for today my alt is 117. And the rest are within normal range Most of you know I was diagnosed stage one 22 years ago by accident when the enzymes where 600 and was immediately given a liver biopsy and urso forte Stage one for 22 years and very compliant. I guess I am lucky but

To build or not to build
I am really confused (again) should I be improving my immune system as I thought that part of the PBC problem was immune system being too active and attacking Bile Ducts thus causing problems eventually to the liver, or should it be calmed to avoid further damage,

Hello -- I am Tracey and I am a 47 year old want to be world traveler!
I was originally diagnosed with Stage 3B Breast Cancer at 40 and with MBC to the Liver at age 45. I have have had so many surgeries including Double Mastectomy, Ovary removal, Targeted Radiation to the Liver. Yet I am still feeling pretty strong and just living life with sucky cancer.

Urso-responsive cholestasis?
Hello! I've been poked and prodded for 6 years. Long story short, I've had every test available (in two different cities) and my GI Dr. told me that because I tested negative for AMA, that he is very hesitant to call it PBC. So he labeled it urso-responsive cholestasis BECAUSE, my enzymes are normal

7 months post op - HRT
Hi everyone. I had a TLH +BSO back in march for endometriosis, and also had excision from my bowel/bladder/ureter at the same time. I had 9 weeks on prostap without HRT prior to the surgery, then 13 weeks post op with no HRT before being started on tibolone which I have now been taking for just over
