Fractures in thoracic spine.
I would really be grateful to hear from anyone who has had
fractures
in the upper thoracic and what their pain and any other symptoms were like. From, Sun Sea and Sand who today is feeling rather fed up and miserable.

Shin splints
I’m just due to start week 3 today, but have held fire, due to pain in my lower knees and skins. I’m presume it’s shin splints, does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this condition?

Flaxseed -pro or con or does it depend on your status
Not necessarily a very reliable site since they have conflicts of interest. However, the discussion of estrogens and flaxseed is of interest. https://www.goldenflax4u.com/category-s/43.htm This doctor believes that flaxseed consumption helps prevent tumors from spreading: https://sperlingprostatecenter.com

Tapentadol for severe pain - any good?
I'm being moved off Buprenorphine Subs (0.2mcgs x 3 PRN daily) onto Tapentadol 50mg SR 2x daily and 50mg IR 2x PRN daily. Has anyone else made this transfer? I suffer from severe Lumbar/SI/Pelvic Pain after 3 fusions on my spine, plus Bursitis, and Cervical Spondylitis. I used to be on Fentanyl, but

PSA after restarting ADT
I restarted ADT with Eligard on August 31 2020 when my PSA was 0.453 and Testosterone 147. Today my PSA is 0.266 and Testosterone < 20. When I started Lupron + Casodex in November 2018 my PSA was 4.48, which dropped to 0.17 in just three months. This time, why the rate of PSA drop is much slower? During

Off of xtandi and PSA is low
Hello I think this is good news my dad was on xtandi for 3 month brought his PSA low . 66 but it had a lot of debilitating side effect so we stopped and didn’t try anything more. Only Lupron every three months and xgeva. Well 5 months off of Xtandi his PSA still remains low which I’m happy but the doctor

Back at it after a break
Last run was 12th November. Hadn’t really planned on taking a break but during this run (NRC run) I was asked why? Why this particular run, why that specific duration and why that day. I didn’t feel my answer was good enough - because I should. I should be running 3 times a week for 30 mins to consolidate

Update on Jim Nov. 2020
Jim had labs, CT, and a bone scan on Monday. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. Labs good 😊 except for PSA-Up to 49.6. 🙁 Bone scan and CT showed decrease in uptake in lesions of the ribs, pelvis, and lower thoracic vertebra 😊 and new uptake in multiple upper thoracic vertebra. 🙁 CT showed that

Second DEXA Scan Results
In 2018 I had a DEXA scan which showed osteopaenia. NOF was -2, total hip -1.3 and spine -1.9. A few weeks after that scan which, fortunately was done on my left side, I broke my right NOF running a marathon (no fall, classed as a high impact event) and joined this forum. I did leave hospital with

Road to recovery
According to Strava, back on the 5th of April 2020 I completed a 15K run in 1 hour 28 minutes. I was riding my motorbike home from work on the 8th of April when I came across a large lorry driving in the opposite direction, on my side of the road. It transpires that he was checking out a text message

Anyone else with MDS/MPN suffered compression fractures?
Just found out the pain I have had in my back for over four months is due to compression fractures in three (or possibly more) vertebrae. My physiotherapist says one thing and the haematology nurse says another about it being caused by osteoporosis or by the blood cancer. Is there anyone else

Osteo or not?
(no stiffness..).I've realised that it is in the part of my back that I have 2 compressed
