Abiraterone-Related Hypokalemia

Combined vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acids and a simple exercise program may reduce cancer risk among active adults aged 70 plus
"DO-HEALTH" randomized clinical trial with 2,157 relatively healthy participants aged 70 plus, supplementation with daily high-dose vitamin D3 plus omega-3s, combined with a simple home exercise program (SHEP), showed no significant improvement in systolic or diastolic blood pressure, nonvertebral

CMP results :-(
AST= 114- normal range= 15-37 ALT = 107- NR =16-61 Globulin =2.5 - NR = 2.8- 4.4 Looks like liver damage is indicated, all was going so well... MO suggests stopping Zytiga for 2 weeks and then retest CMP . Somehow this was posted on the other Prostate Cancer board in error

Latest PSA update
The latest PSA measurement from me shows a nearly 50% decline - which is great news. The decline is marginally greater than the previous period - which is interesting. The only things I have changed is dropping from 160mg/day to 120mg/day Xtandi, and reducing the volume of my food intake (same diet)

CT Results are In
Looking for your wisdom, good people. What does “Spleen: Small splenule” mean? I read about the need for a sulfur colloid scan to determine if it’s cancer. Nothing else to note on the CT scan. PSA is 5.12, up from 4.32 on 4/8, up from 1.6 on 12/10. Bone scan shows no evidence of metastasis. Thank You

Orchiectomy or ADT
I'm 80 years old with ED since my prostatectomy. Both surgery an radiation have failed to cure my PC so, I find myself at a fork in the road. Do I have an Orchiectomy or use ADT medications. from what I have read, Orchiectomy has shown to have better result than ADT in terms of long term survival plus

I also have osteoarthritis and multiple vertebra
fractures
. Injectin Acemtra weekly and 10mg Pred daily (never managed to get lower than 10 but fingers crossed the Actemra will enable to do that this time).

Another large study published in 2016 also showed no long-term effects of LT3 on cardiovascular disease outcomes or

, although there was increased use of antipsychotic medications.

Growth inhibitory effect of doxazosin on prostate and bladder cancer cells. Is the serotonin receptor pathway involved?
Doxazosin
, an alpha1-adrenoceptor antagonist, is used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and hypertension. Alpha-adrenoceptor antagonists also inhibit growth and induce apoptosis in malignant prostatic cells. The apoptotic activity is independent of their capacity to antagonize

Study I am qualified for
Not sure which study I am going to be in, uses genetic xtandi and LU177, he is sending me consent forms , he seemed pretty excited. I did show interest since a year and half on abitrone which is starting to fail . I have had two PSA readings where it increased, 1.3 to 4.4 now 5.0. He tried to get a

RA pain v proximal humerus 4 fractures pain
Three weeks ago I fell and smashed the head of my humerus - 4 separate breaks, one clean through at base of head. Blooming nuisance. The weird thing is that people keep telling me it’s a very painful injury. Well, yes it has been painful, more achy really after the first few days, but RA pain is worse

For those who have fractured, drugs and supplements
have just received results of a scan to find that I have another two
fractures
(total 5 or maybe 6) which is a worry. I am not on any medication as most are going to be a problem with my health problems.

Information on calcium supplements please.
Hi, Two more recent spinal
fractures
bringing it to a total of nine has raised quite a few more questions. I have always been told I do not need a calcium supplement because my levels are very good.

Stopping cyproterone acetate.
Hi Gentlemen, just a question..... I have had orchedectomy and been taking cyproterone for 4 years or so. I understand it stops adrenal gland production of potential testosterone. I have been in remission since the nuts left....is it safe to stop using the drug. I stopped a couple of months ago and the

Prolia: Biggest Mistake I Ever Made!!!!
I wish I had never gone near this drug! It definitely interfered with getting needed dental work done! (And its medical mismanagement left me with a bunch of vertebral fracture leaving me permanently in pain and disabled!)

Even if you increase your bone density, you still have osteoporosis
Ongoing monitoring and strategic interventions will be necessary if
fractures
are to be avoided.
