5K re-graduation and pacing to reach 10K
Hi fellow runners, just so happy to share that I've re-graduated Sep 30 and finally discovered the importance of pacing! So, I started running again after 5 months of hardly any activity. I went back to W6R1 and worked my way up again in 4 weeks, just in time for our annual city run here on Oct 2. Signed

XGEVA
I was receiving Xgeva every 4 weeks for 2 years, and suddenly my Oncologist cut it back to every 3 months......can anyone explain why? Does it even do any good to have that much time between injections? I thought it had a 28 day half-life Help!! Also my care team no longer accepts my insurance and I'll

My Story
Hi all….. I was diagnosed with PMR in June 2021 - I live in California by the way. My regular Dr. put me on Prednisone and it took nearly 5 months to find a Rheumatologist - I do not live in a big city and they are not easy to find. I know that Prednisone wrecks havoc on tendons and such. In

Rising PSA after Hormone Resistance
I am hoping for some insight. My husband is stage IV, mets all over his bones and lymphs. He had done Provenge and is half way thru Xofigo infusions. They said PSA really can’t tell us anything now, but they still test it. It has gone from 11.27 in June to 60 this week. And now suddenly his oncologist

No more free Zytiga
Johnson and Johnson is cancelling their patient assistance program for Zytiga on Dec. 30. It provides free pills to those who qualify. My MO is switching me to Xtandi and we're applying to Pfizer for a similar program. I've been on a half-dose (500 mgs) of Zytiga for more that five years and remain undetectable

Xtandi
My husband started Xtandi about 2 months ago after Lupron starting not working. PSA went down 150 points first month, then went up 19 points last time went down 12 points. Does this mean Xtandi is not working for him? We were expecting it to go down a lot. Anyone else have this experience? Thanks

Rising PSA on taxotere
Feeling discouraged today. Denny's been on Taxotere since July. After an initial rise to 100, he had a 13 point drop in his PSA to 87 in September. Yesterday's lab work shows a PSA of 92 which is where he was in July before he started chemo. He had a PSMA scan in June which showed "very widespread

Entering a New Stage Moving to Provenge
Hi Gents and Caregivers, I have had this motherf*cker of a disease for over 17 years. A few months back I had my first PSMA PET scan. And I have entered a new stage, Stage IV, that is. The scan showed progression to many different areas on my skeleton. For over four years, I had been on what I called

Plasmapheresis / Therapeutic Plasma Exchange, TPE
TPE, with blood withdrawn and reinserted without the plasma, has in a small clinical single-arm trial indicated remarkable benefits in markers of various kinds including DNA damage, cellular senescence and immunity (T-cells, B-cells, NK cells). Downside appears limited. It remains to be seen if the

Seeking Data ???
I am trying to collect information from men in a specific category. That category is men who have had a radical prostatectomy (RP) and thereafter experienced biochemical recurrence (BCR) and used proton beam therapy (PBT) radiation as the treatment following that BCR. I’d like to know several things

How do you avoid further injuring someone suffering osteoporosis, who often falls, has fallen causing

in the past, and has to be helped to their feet?

MO tells us that there is no value in PSMA PET now. Her plan is to reimage CT chest, pelvis, abdomen, and repeat bone scan and compare to initial in May. All were negative then. MRI showed IV PCa and 2 inguinal nodes: started 30 days Casodex, now on second Eligard. Local pelvis and LN Rad to start

Sacrum tumor
Anyone have experience with a Sacrum tumor? Onc. wants to do a needle biopsy, then radiation but reading up on this, IF it shows a Chordoma, radiation is only done AFTER surgery and a surgical team should be standing by ready to go if it is a chordoma as the needle will spread it immediately and it's

It came as a surprise at the time but over the last few months, my lower back has got increasingly unhappy which I guess is down to the
fractures
. Anyway, my question is whether there is anything that they can do about it?

Trelstar
My urologist changed my eligard injections to Trelstar without my knowledge. It was given subq instead of IM as prescribed. Is that a problem?

A loud, proud, lonely ride
She's rickety, an old yellow school bus no one knows how to fix With loose, rattling seats A freed bolt vibrating on the metal floor Rattling loud and groaning, a teeth clenching ride It's the prednisone in the gas that keeps her running And even though she ain't what she used to be She's my only
