YES...It will probably go to 0.2 in next 2 or 3 months. Good news !
If you still have prostate intact then 0.2 is considered undetectable.
It took me 4 months for Zytiga to take my PSA down from 2.35 to <0.1, where it remains.
Yes, that's normal. Sometimes it can become undetectable, sometimes not. But that's an excellent response.
Hi TA,
I've been thinking of "undetectable", which is my situation with PSA <0.02. Does reaching and holding PSA undetectable reading means metastasis free? Or the cancer cells are in a dormant state, thus not expressing PSA?
Moreover, do we really know?
I started on Zytiga in July 2018 when my PSA was .46. I never got below that and in fact jumped up to .86 and never got below .8.
There was a long slow progression up to 4.00 in September 2020.
Unfortunately it now seems to have failed and PSA has jumped to 10 in just 2 months, and that is after switching from Prednisone to Dexamathasone.
See Onco in a cupla days. Expecting new bone scan, possibly radiation and start of Chemo.
Hi Chris
I have been on Zytiga for the last 5 months but my PSA decline has been very very slow. It went from 27.6 to now only at 26.1 hahaha
But I am taking it with a pinch of salt and keeping my fingers cross that my PSA will decline to lower digits when my next blood work comes up on 15 December. You, on the other hand have done very well, my very best to you and enjoy the good tidings
❤️
Haniff
Good news..... is easy to swallow...........Have a nice Chris-tmas....

Having never had treatment for my PCa I am unfamiliar with any of the many different medications i see discussed on these posts ...e.g. Lupron, Zytiga etc. Where would be a good online source for me to educate myself about them? Thanks.
