Understanding the new osteoporosis treatment guidelines from the Endocrine Society

How long for PSA to drop when starting ADT?
Hi everyone. My partner was at 1.17 post RP (GS 4+5=9, SVI, N+). PSMA scan indicated some diffuse PCa remaining in the pelvic area (not enough to biopsy) and a possible met to the right rear hip bone. He started firmagon a month ago and had his first Lupron shot Friday. Repeat PSA from Friday before

Doctors Who Are willing to Supervise Bipolar Androgen Therapy (BAT)
I believe that Sartor at Tulane and Denmeade at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Certainly anyone you want to supervise your Bipolar Androgen Therapy (BAT) , you want to have some experience with it. I went to Tall_Allen's blog and looked up the BAT investigators on the BAT studies that Tall_Allen cites.

Any relation between PCa and Granuloma Annulare?
I was diagnosed six months ago, no Mets to bone, but metastasis to distant lymph nodes like retro peritoneal. I am on Lupron, Zytiga and prednisone and now have a negligible PSA. My question has to do with granuloma annulare, supposedly a harmless skin disorder. Although it is only supposed to last for

I can't believe this disease!!
I have been doing fairly well handling PMR. Have been on methotrexate for 5 weeks and have decreased pred by 1 mg. All went well. The other day I stood up and the pain that went thru left hip and back was excruciating! Couldn't move! Couldn't straighten up. I sat back down and waited. I really thought

Advice needed please.
Hi guys, Looking for some advice and experiences that may help. My Father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in march 2014 with a PSA of 433. First round of ADT got his PSA down to 0.23. He has since done three rounds of intermittent hormone therapy since, and he is currently on Zytiga and Firmagon

Mixed training running techniques
So my gym classes claim that they can burn more calories doing a HIIT class in 30 minutes then I would on a tread mill by raising the heart rate and doing circuit interval style resistance training. I am not sure what everyone’s thoughts on this are as my local running group also do something similar

Stopping Prolia after one injection?
I`m afraid that getting the second injection will force me to continue with Prolia for very long time (my age 52) with no safe way to stop, due to the high occurrence of the "rebound" effect with multiple
fractures
. I started with Prolia due to Osteoporosis with few vertebral
fractures
.

Xtandi for Third Time
An update. After second round of Docetaxel/Carboplatin chemo (12 total infusions, 6 per round), we are again rechallenging with Xtandi. Had it first back in 2016 for about 12 months until cancer found a workaround. In early 2018 after chemo, Xtandi rechallenge brought PSA down from 1.3 to .7 for

PSA still rising.
I am stage IV metastatic PC. Had PSMA scan 8/18 showing lymph node involvement. Started Firmagon 10/18. T and PSA went way down. MO switched to Lupron 12/18. Since then T staying around 20, but PSA continues to rise - doubled from .35 to .7 in last 4 months. Due to go back on Firmagon in 2 weeks, but

The big decision
No one knows of course, I would like to know if there is any evidence of vertebral
fractures
. I have had episodes of severe back pain and spasms in the past and still have recurrent back pain and fairly severe neck pain, especially associated with long periods of standing or with heavy lifting.

If you could only choose 2 - 3 supplements
My dad is not a type of person who would take dozens od different supplements. His compliance to the regime would be 0. But taking 2 -3 would work. If you could only take 2-3, which ones would you take? I already bought Modified Citrus Pectin (Econugenics), and I'm looking to add 2 -3. I'm looking at
