After the
fractures
I didn't have pain they had healed. I am very unsure about my 3rd injection. I wouldn't hesitate if not so painful. It is so simple a blood test then injection every 6 months. Unfortunately not for me.

They believed the spinal

were compression
fractures
, but I now believe they were from a car accident she had a few months before she was diagnosed (mum is 8 stone and 4’11” so quite small and hit the car quite hard.

Please share any experience of meds to try and prevent osteoporosis especially Zoledronic acid and Romosozumab
I've recently had spinal or vertebral compression
fractures
and am now talking to various health care professionals and researching my options to try and prevent further
fractures
in the future.

full body brace for osteo/more fractures
Perhaps walking with
fractures
is not a good idea until I start the osteo meds to help heal the spine? Still waiting on approval for Romosozumab meds as it is a process here in Canada that is lengthy.

Support and Advice
One of the scans showed that I had 4
fractures
in my spine. A further 2
fractures
were discovered later during surgery and these were also operated on. I was referred to an amazing surgeon who got me into hospital as soon as possible and performed a Procedure called Kyphoplasty.

Dexa scan normal but wedge fractures anyway!!
The result show wedge
fractures
which the doctor described as “significant”. Also showed my lungs were compromised which was why I get breathless easily.

How much loading to do in resistance training if one has osteoporosis?
Can the resistance training be risky in contributing to
fractures
? I know resistance training helps keep the muscles and bones good. He has been prescribed Denusomab 60 mg once in 6 months. Will get him that shot next week.

DEXA SCANS
I couldn’t cope with any more
fractures
. It’s already ruined my life. I find it difficult doing things now. It is concerning especially because my bones were really bad to start with. My bones were -5.5 to start with. My last Dexa said -4.6 or -4.3. Im wondering how anyone else feels about this.

Eligard and bicalutamide.
A DEXA scan in 2022 revealed high possibility of bone
fractures
; 2023, fell from a height of 3ft and broke the femur. Now on Prolia, vitamin d3, k2, and calcium. Anxious to begin sustained exercise, essential for osteoporosis, though still recovering from breakage. 2022 to 2024 PSA remains at 0.01.

Can PMR weakened muscle cause curvature of the spine?
I found the Guy’s and St Thomas’ website and the description of Vertebral Compression
fractures
seemed to fit my symptoms exactly.

Alternative to oral bisphosphonates
I may have to come off Prolia and I’m aware of possible rebound
fractures
if you don’t take a relay medication of bisphosohonates. I’m unable to tolerate oral bisphosohonates. My question is what can I take? Or am I doomed to having yet more

Helpful information on supplements
He is an orthopedic surgeon who has transitioned his practice into prevention instead of treatment of bone

. He is on YouTube and has a good free masterclass. This video is on basic information for supplementation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?

10th spinal fracture….
that MRI and this is what some of it says MRI Spine Lumbar and Sacral : Compared to the previous scan dated 29.05.22, there is evidence of T1w hypointense and T2w/STIR hyperintense lesion at L1 vertebral body, concurrent to decrease in vertebral body height, suspicious in first hypothesis for acute

Tight chest T3+ T4 fractures
I have T3 and T4 vertebrae
fractures
. Sometimes (like this afternoon) I feel tight chested. Could that be because of the
fractures
(and not a heart warning!)? I am looking for others’ experience, not advice. Thank you.

Please does anyone know a private Rheumatologist in Cornwall or Devon who I would be able to go and discuss my osteoporosis with? Thank you.
This may well be impossible if I get
fractures
. 8.-regular periods until easy menopause at 53 years old. 9.-I have a bad family history of osteoporosis in my maternal side of the family and my older sister. 10.
