Road to recovery

According to Strava, back on the 5th of April 2020 I completed a 15K run in 1 hour 28 minutes. I was riding my motorbike home from work on the 8th of April when I came across a large lorry driving in the opposite direction, on my side of the road.

It transpires that he was checking out a text message on his mobile phone, an action which cost me 15 broken bones and a degloved right knee.

My aim therefore, is to be able to complete the Salcey Forest 10K race in Aril 2021 (if its still on). Not at any great speed, but certainly without walking.

That was a dreadful thing to happen and is a lesson for us all.

Also your recovery is an example for us all.

Fortunately once the ambulance arrived I was kept so drugged up over the next 3 days that I don't remember any of it. But it's all in the past now, just completed Week 3 run 2 this morning and only looking ahead.

That's a horrible experience, StreetTriple675 , and I hope that suitable action has been taken against the lorry driver. All power to you for your future running!
