Monday morning I awoke, got out of bed and as soon as I tried to walk on my right foot, I experienced pain along the side/outer edge of my foot, underneath my foot on outer edge and across the top of my foot roughly where the metatarsal bones are.

Does anyone experience severe foot pain at night? I get cramps in both my feet at night, but additionally, I get excruciating pain in my right foot. It feels like someone has put it in a vice and it’s crushing the bones in the top of my foot. It’s becoming unbearable 😩😩

Could sudden foot pain be a sign that I’m tapering too quickly? I was finally diagnosed with PMR last July having suffered with pain and stiffness since Christmas 2022. I have tapered to 12 mg of preds by decreasing .5 of a mg every two weeks which seemed to be working fine.

hello folks…… hoping to get a reply to this question….. every now and again I go through a period of time wherebye I get severe jabbing pain in the ball of my foot underneath my ankle…. for want of a better description, it’s like someone jabbing a very big needle into the ball of my foot….

Good morning, I'm suffering from severe hand and feet pain. I’m due to have an ultrasound of my hands in 2 weeks so my consultant doesn’t want me to have a course of steroids (the only thing that works for me to relieve pain) Has anyone got any suggestions to improve hand movement/ease pain in the interim

Have developed quite bad generalised aching/ throbbing foot pain which does not get better at rest. No injury or change in activity levels . I have been decreasing my dose slowly though. I don’t know whether to treat this as a flare or not as it’s not somewhere I’ve experienced pain before.

Does anyone have horrendous pain in the ball of their feet and sometimes in toes. Sometimes on one or the other and sometimes on both? It’s affecting me walking :(

A week later, she was hospitalised with unbearable pain in her foot and was unable to walk. An MRI scan showed soft tissue damage but I suspected it was all due to, her neck and foot pain, hypothyroidism. They tested her TSH in Hospital after I requested a thyroid test.

Does anyone else get what is more than likely nerve pain in the feet? It comes and goes like a shooting pain but has been a lot more frequent recently and it's not nice. At the moment it's like above my little toe. But it moves around both feet - and usually it was in the middle towards the upper part

Hi all, Mum was recently hospitalised with neck and foot pain, due to hypothyroidism. She also developed bad pinkeye, at the same time as the neck pain. Could this be thyroid eye disease?

She still looks pale and has some foot pain.

hello everyone, I was wondering on like today my feet are good on injection day and in the eve the pain comes then it goes away, is that the nerves trying to heal or starting, hopefully.. this is my almost end of 2nd month of eod injections, I hope this is normal healing. thank you for your thoughts

The site references given to me have proven to be spot on and full of very helpful information. I have followed the advice and done the exercises and the improvement has been very positive. I’m in less pain and am moving more freely although obviously I still have a way to go before I’m back to normal

She told me I would need a seperate referral for each type of pain so one for my Osteoarthritis, one for the muscular skeletal pain, one for my Betchers pain, one for my back pain, one for my foot pain, one for my neuropathic pain.

Add periods of bad foot pain from peripheral neuropathy and I get extended times where I can’t sit, stand, walk or lie with any sort of comfort. I am on 300 mg of Lyrica for the foot pain. My question is: Is this normal and realistically, how long can it last?

I have a letter telling me to stop taking pain medication for four weeks Before my hand and foot scan.

I then became myself again got my life back. .no pains and was ok. .My walking hasn't been as started getting foot pain and struggling walk prob ten years ago. Just sudden.then had to hold into things to get about . This I put up with had knew x rayed many years back.

I have joint damage in both feet due to Stills disease which manifests as RD diagnosed aged 17, now 62 with increasing pain in all joints. Foot pain affected mobility and I sought help via podiatry. After a year the steroid injection was offered.
