Cancer messes up RA treatment
My WBC is still low and I'm in a lot of pain, plus awful fatigue following a nasty bout of
flu
. I suppose the moral of this tale is don't get cancer when you're reliant on biologics, but that's easier said than done! Has anyone experienced similar? If so, what biologic did you find effective?

Covid...back with a vengeance
For about 8 days i have felt wretched and just thought it was a cold or
flu
, but when it affected my speech so bad I thought it was something more. I happened to still have a lateral flow test kit and did a test, and sure enough 2 heavy red lines showed.

The dreaded covid
On coming home I had messages to book in for
flu
and covid jabs, I rang surgery to say I actually had covid and they just said “Oh ok when you are negative just book in for them” I was surprised as before you had to wait I’m sure at least 28 days after you had had covid?

Hubby and his heart
My husband had bad
flu
over Christmas and since then has had huge issues with breathlessness, bloating, fluid retention and fatigue. He's had ECG's, MRI , chest x-ray and bloods.

Worried
Doctor had suggested I was fighting off a virus so I put it down to the
flu
- I then spent all day Friday and Saturday unable to move, barely able to eat anything. Finally I feel like I’m coming back to normal but this morning my blood pressure dropped to 69/51 and I felt dreadful again.

Flu season here!
We both had
flu
shots around 4 weeks ago with minimal side effects (mostly sore arm). Several days ago I developed what I first thought was a cold, (runny nose, sore face etc) then my temp shot up to 39.5, throat was mildly sore along with a dry cough.

Proton treatment - fatigue?
He thought it was the
flu
, but no fever, digestive distress, nothing. Is this common? We believed proton tx didn't have as many side effects as photon tx, or at least, fatigue didn't begin until after the tx was pretty much complete.

Is enteric Prednisone available in France? Does anyone know? Flare!!
Then I realized I have been in pain everywhere blaming it on crutches and cane etc etc.Furthermore new doc said not a coincidence that the entire flare started Nov 13 when my
flu
shot was Nov 10 and that he has seen this before and this year. So I have gone up from 1 mg to 7.5.

Methylcobalamin vs Hydroxocobalamin ?
However fast forward a year- I had the
flu
and the covid and then spent the last year almost back to where I started. I wracked my brain trying to figure out what I changed and eventually remembered I changed B12.

Covid vaccine - symptoms worsening?
I haven’t experienced this with previous covid or
flu
vaccines but I don’t think I’ve been in AF when having one before. I’m on 300mg of Sotalol a day. Thank you to anyone for sharing your experience. Best wishes to you all.

vaccinations
It’s time for a
flu
vaccine and soon the next Covid shot will be available. And there’s the RSV vaccine! I’m wondering about my response to any vaccines at this point in my treatment.

Do I increase Pred to cover me for Covid jab?
Last year I negotiated with my GP to have the under 65s
flu
jab (I am 74) which does not have the adjuvant. I did not think my immune system needed extra stimulation! However it was a battle and all pharmacies said that, by law, they could only give me the over 65's jab.

Pegasys Reaction?
The rest of the evening I just felt miserable like I got the
flu
. I didn't sleep well at all. Woke up today weak and tired but my stomach feels a lot better. I don't know if that was a reaction to the shot of Peg or just a coincidence and I really had a bout with the
flu
?

Hashimoto’s flare
However, two and a half weeks ago I had the
flu
, which turned into a chest infection and I had to take a course of antibiotics. Since then my thyroid symptoms have flared up. I’ve had really bad fatigue and brain fog.

What works best for colds and other bugs
I can not take
flu
tablets because they increase my T levels , im ok with paracetamols, and they reduce fever, but not too good for colds, so then i discovered echincea which i have heard is very good for colds and flues, the trouble is there is so many different ones to take , Holland and Barrett alone
