Worse onset of heart flutters following flu vaccine?

hello. i've suffered daily bouts of palpitations since 2019 which have had a massive impact on my quality of life.

in july of this year i was finally put on flecainide, and this has made big improvement in my symptoms.

however, i had the flu vaccine in early october, and ever since, i am once again having daily heart flutters, and i am wondering if its been triggered by the vaccine? i dont know what else to make of it.

i would never have had the vaccine if i knew it could trigger heart palps. within half an hour of having the vaccine, i started feeling heart flutters and it's just stayed with me ever since.

why doesnt flecainide always work? it was working very well before this.

i am beyond fed up with all of this.

Any vaccination will cause me to have palpitations. This is the reason why I've decided not to have more of any kind.

It's just one of those things, some people are affected by them and others are not.

I have been taking Flecainide for 4 or 5 years which, like you, has really helped. Also like you, one or more vaccine shots this year resulted in ectopics. First was the flu shot in September and then, a week later the RSV shot which was the worst. I think it has begun to settle down now. (Fingers crossed) Maybe yours will also settle down when your body evens the vaccine out and returns to a more baseline level. Good luck!

After my September flu shot, my INR dropped out of range and I was on Heparin shots. I was told that the flu shot would not affect my medication and it is safe for people with mechanical valves who take warfarin but no other reason for this sudden drop.

I had my Flu vaccine last week and my AF episodes has been unusually frequent every day since I had it , I have just been started on Flecanide a few days before the vaccine,I didn’t know if it was the medication or the vaccine that was causing the extra episodes of AF.
