Just completed W8 R1. It's the biggest sense of achievement I've felt since winning school 1500m races all those years ago (I'm 56 now). It was a great feeling when Jo Whiley told me to slow down :-)

And I feel back on track after 3 weeks of cold / flu that really hit me hard. I did try a W7 run whilst still bunged up, and it was really horrible. I did manage it, but I ached like f*ck for days afterwards.

Was kind of dreading W8, but turns out it was OK. I still (just) had a bit left in the tank at the end which surprised me.

Really feels like I'm closing in on graduation now.
