Trimbow

I had just got over flu when I saw my respiratory consultant and he said my lungs were clear but the scan said I had grade 2 obstructive airway disease secondary to post covid bronchiolitis and radiological emphysema with normal gas transfer and minimal fibrotic ILD. He changed me from Trelegy to Trimbow and I took it for 3 days.

I started overbalancing and feeling dizzy, had a horrible taste in my mouth that never stopped, lost my appetite and started coughing much worse than ever. Next day incontinence, couldn't sleep and dreadful cramps right down both legs and diarrhoea. Third day stomach ache, cough worse.

Fourth day was Monday so I phoned the pharmacist who said to stop it till I speak to the respiratory nurse next week. I had a day without and started back on Trelegy today. I still had cramps last night and feel like I've been poisoned. I don't know how long it takes to get out of my system. I've never had incontinence before, but I suppose all the coughing did it. Hope it stops soon. The bad taste is going.

Has anyone else had this? I am very sensitive to any medication and can't take statins or antibiotics.

I'm sorry that you have been so ill. I think you need to see a doctor or consultant to check whether it really was the Trimbow which has had such a drastic effect, or whether you have picked up another infection somewhere. best wishes.

I am getting better and am sure it was the Trimbow as all those side effects are listed. I usually take a few days to get medicine out of my system so hope tomorrow I’ll be ok. I’ve got a phone call with the respiratory nurse on Monday.

Good morning. I was changed from Trelegy to Trimbow and after 3 weeks I found that I was coughing more. So I reverted to my Trelegy until I got to see my Respiratory nurse and she left me on the Trelegy. Brian
