Start of SCT journey
August 2023 referred to transplant team for SCT as although most of my symptoms have been managed very well with drugs the
fibrosis
and blood cell production is still deteriorating. Today I had my latest consultation with transplant consultant here at UHS (University Hospital Southampton).

New test reliable?
She explained they did a fairly new test too, called
fibrosis
4, known as fib 4 and that assessed scarring of the liver. It was really low at 0.53 so that's great.

Possible Fibroids
--Hello, I am in the States, and I have a 19cm Fibroid, that I had a MRI for back in 2017. Had a CAT scan done this year and it showed two more round balls inside my uterus! It will be a year in July that I stopped having periods, so bleeding. The doctor thinks it is cancer, but I have no weight loss

Femseven conti patches
Hi,Has anyone been prescribed femseven conti patches? I've been prescribed these by the nurse at the GP surgery as an alternative to evorel as they were making me bleed and my anxiety was really bad. I've read on the packet they could increase fibroids so not sure I should be taking them. I'm on 3

Couldn’t make this up
It’s the night before my first double embryo transfer tomorrow (which will be our 7th transfer) 2 Chemicals so far and 4 BFN’s. I have literally just injected and a WhatsApp ping comes through with a video of my sister in law’s two toddlers holding scan photos working out what this means and if there

Fibrosis and fatty liver
Hello, I was diagnosed with advanced
fibrosis
f3/4 and fatty liver. My fibroscan in 2022 was cap 297 kpa 11. Six months later it was cap 336 and kpa 12.2. I just had another fibroscan and the cap was 278 and kpa was 12.8. I am happy the fatty liver has improved, but the scarring is worse.

Update on my CLL diagnosis
The final result came back Month 15 BMBx showed MRD-0 CR with no
fibrosis
or dysplasia. All blood counts were normal except ALC was just below normal at 0.7 but my oncologist said that should start improving over the next couple of months.

Feeling confused
- there is no areas of scaring or
fibrosis
(positive) - the scan does not exclude a cardiomyopathy due to either left bundle branch block or hypertension (no clue what this means). The consultant is requesting I have genetic testing. To me this seems positive but also contradictory.

Early Onset Pulmonary Fibrosis
I still wish to travel abroad but I have a feeling that putting the above on which is a Terminal Illness as we all know, is the main high cost, that my two present Insurance Costs reflect. Anyone got any ideas and if you initially go with a Company for a year is it easier to stay with them until you

Looking for Adenomyosis resources
Hi all, I have my 2nd lap yesterday for endo excision and was diagnosed with Adenomyosis which was a surprise. I spoke to the surgeon briefly after surgery and am now waiting on a follow up appointment and MRI scan I was wondering if anyone could point me towards some good reliable resources on adenomyosis

Newly diagnosed don't understand Fib4 score.
Whilst a couple are very slightly over the top end of normal the one that stands out is Fib4 which is 3.79 which Dr said is high risk liver
fibrosis
. He has referred me to a specialist which seems to be quite urgent as if I don't hear by Thursday I have to ring to make and appointment.
