Endo returned after full hysterectomy

Hi ladies..so I had a full pelvic hysterectomy in September 2022.. removed everything ovaries included..past 2 months I have started to have period type pains and yesterday was crippled, feels like endo as all the same signs....I'm having issues with my bowels as well.. going 5 days without going which is very unusual for me and it's painful..my uterus and bowel we're attached but my consultant never said anything about my bowel post surgery just that I also had fibroids which whe didn't know about..I am also waiting to see a urologist due to ongoing bladder issues... wondering if anyone one else who has had a full hysterectomy has had recurring endo. X

Well, if they didn't remove all the lesions (intestines, lungs...), it does come back!

Hi so sorry for what you've experience. They need to remove the endo from all the organs apart from doing the full hysterectomy. Maybe ask them.l for MRI to see where you stand.This is the only way. I am due to have MRI as had two operations in a year for fibroid and endometriosis stage 4,and is apparently aggressive one. Been told next is full hysterectomy but I'm scared.Any advice from you is appreciated. I am only 44 and being trown to surgical Menopause scares me from what comes after

They told me that even if I have hysterectomy endometriosis will most definitely come back as it grows on the lining,I've had 6 zoladex injection and feel absolutely fine so said no to op so now having injections every 3 months,having a few hot flushes but thought no point having op if it's not going to cure me xx
