A giant cell arteritis suffer
A giant cell arteritis suffer on methotrexate and prednisolone. Has anyone been on this combination as well? How long did it take you to get off the steroids as i'm still on 4mg as struggling to get off them as symptoms keep returning once I reduce down any further.

Ovarian cyst query
Hi I had an MRI done recently for intermittent groin and hip pain. The hospital rang me to say that it showed that my ovary appears enlarged about 7x8cm. My doctor has ordered a CA125 and urgent ultrasound. Is this normal procedure? He also said I would need to have the ovary removed!! I am premenopausal

Quick run down of my situation. I have gallbladder sludge and am having gallbladder out mid Nov and also have arrhythmias/tachycardia which needs no treatment, and have been discharged by cardiologist. Staysure/Avanti will not cover me until I have had my surgery( which I understand) but will not cover

Swollen lymph nodes
hi all - off the bat, I know swollen lymph nodes after the Covid vaccine/booster are common and a good thing - yay immune system working. However, I have seemingly sporadically been getting swollen lymph nodes here and there the past several months that don’t seem to be directly tied to the booster.

Moderate Fatty Liver with normal liver enzymes
I was diagnosed with NAFLD in 2018 while undergoing gallbladder removal surgery. I had been thin most of my life and had only “packed on the pounds” in the last 4-5 years, and wasn’t overweight at the time of the surgery, so she thought it was odd to see my liver so fatty. My PCP sent me for ultrasounds

Laparoscopy and Oophorectomy waiting times
Hi, I had a hystectomy in 2019, then breast cancer in 2020. I've been in awful pain for a couple of months and its accompanied by nausea and dizziness. I've been advised to have a laparoscopy and oophorectomy, does anyone know the rough waiting times on the NHS to have this?

Has anyone got any experience in coming off Tocilizumab to start on Methotrexate?
I have been on Tocilizumab since August 2021 but the funding for this is being withdrawn. I have been off steroids now for over 2 months so without the Toci I have nothing to ward off any flare-up of GCA. Due to being relatively asymptomatic before diagnosis and losing sight in one eye very quickly rheumatology

hi Ladies, I’m so enjoying my month visit to Nz seeing old friends! Also saw my old oncologist here in Nz who wants me to think about having my ovaries out to help my verzenio treatment work better even though I am 62! When chemo pushed me into menopause back when I was 44, it aprarently allowed

Hi everyone I had a hysterectomy and oophorectomy in june, along with a bowel shave and excission. In the last 3 weeks ive found that if I need the loo for a number 2 I need to go immediately and have had alot of pain in my pelvis before hand, similar pain although not as intense as pre surgery.

Dental Care Issues
I have been on Ibrance and Femara for 2-1/2 years now. I am having gum problems but periodontist doesn't want to treat me because I am considered "high risk". I am also on Zometa bone infusion once every three months. It is so frustrating since I can't get gum treatment. Has anyone had this issue

Hello ladies, I want to have a small polyp in my uterus removed before further IVF treatment. Any recommendation for a reputable specialist at reasonable price? I'm living in Basingstoke. Best wishes for you all!
