gallstones, deranged liver and pancreatitis

so since May 2022 I have had I think 8 episodes of crisis pain with these conditions 3 hospital stays - all on top of spinal arthritis spinal stenosis degenerative disc disease and fibromyalgia …

They have put me on a waiting list for gallbladder removal surgery and I get put up to priority and was told in August/September stay anymore they would take it out I have had enough I have no life keep cancelling hairdressers and dog groomers due to this as well as missing my niece wedding missing my birthday my husbands birthday was ruined and the Queens jubilee celebrations were ruined I’ve missed out on my pottery classes I’ve already paid for and to be frank im not sure I can take much more of this !

SORRY for the rant but I don’t know what to do

is there anyone/organisation that could fight my corner

Have you spoken to PALS at the hospital? They are best placed to help you as you say “fight your corner “. The other thing is, what is your gp doing to move things along? Again they can be a great advocate for you. But ultimately I think contacting PALS could be a good way to move forward.

Hello Sharon,

I'm sorry to hear about this pain you are suffering with. I feel your pain with your gallbladder 100% I have been there for 12 years it was on and off then 2 years ago I had it removed. When I had my last massive flare up in September 2020 my GP said what he needed to say in the letter a couple days in hospital out with the GB and never looked back BUT THIS IS DUE TO MY EXCELLENT GP.

That's why I am asking this below.

Only a question. How good is your GP? Especially for being forceful without any fear?

I came out today from hospital as I have other issues consequent of this I have pancreatitis and deranged liver function of the flare ups I am now put to the top of the list hopefully before Christmas so fingers crossed xx

Hi Shazza, same here I have just had MRi I've waited 6 weeks for after an awful flare-up. I went yellow. My LFTS are really high, I'm not yellow any more but my eyes don't look healthy. So worried I've liver damage. Just wondering hiw you are
