Stage IV Endo - hysterectomy
Hi - I have always had painful periods (that made me sick & pass out frequently) and after a particularly bad one where I couldn't get out of bed I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst that was removed during surgery when I was 25. This was when they diagnosed stage IV Endo. I'm extremely lucky that I

PROGESTOGEN ONLY PILL
Hi all, I would love to hear from anyone who has had experience of the progestogen only pill. Did it work in reducing the endo growths, stopping periods, relieving pain, or have any side effects, or anything else that anyone would like to share. Just a brief summary of my experience so far. I am 38.

Colostomy problems - parastomal hernia?
Don't know why I never asked advice from you lovely ladies before. I am sure someone out there has an answer or can give me some advice. I have a permanent colostomy following debulking surgery in November 2012. Never knew I was going to have one so it was a bit of a shock. I must admit I have never

Got the call for Surgery, Yahoo!
How twisted is that to be excited about getting a date for surgery! But after 9 and a half months of pain I'm ready. The hospital had an opening sooner than I was expecting. So next Tuesday, after it being 11 years since my last surgery I don't know what I could be in for, maybe it's nothing, maybe it

Told I had ovarian cancer but after major surgery it was severe endometriosis
Hi After being admitted to hospital late November with suspected gallstones it was discovered that I had blood clot in lung and then told I had ovarian cysts. My ca125 count was over 6000 and after mri and ct and pet scan and oncologist appointments who all said it was ovarian cancer. Had a radical

Hi Mum still suffering very badly after vulval cancer and bi-lateral lymph node removal 8 months ago.Severe swelling in pubic area and underneath causing pain and skin to go red. Can anything be done to move the fluid from this area? Tried spanx but too painful to wear. She cries for hours every day.

Hand and arm swelling
After a mastectomy and lymph node removal in June 2014 I've developed lymphoedema in my hand and arm. I finished radio therapy at the end of nov 2014. My Lymphoedema nurse has prescribed garments which I wear religiously. She has told me that we now need to give things three months to settle down. I

Narrowed esophagus
My Rheumy has asked me if I have difficulty swallowing. So I wonder if this is a symptom of GCA. I recently had a colonoscopy and endoscopy with a stretching of the esophagus. The gastro doctor informed me that my esophagus was very narrowed and wondered if it had been bothering me. He wondered if it

Ovary grows back after oophorectomy
Anyone else had this happen? Left ovary removed on 16 April, ultrasound on 31 October shows an ovary there. Apparently it is rare but can happen if a few cells are left behind (and how hard would it be to remove all cells without a microscope) but more likely for ladies with lots of adhesions. I thought
