Hello All,I've been displaying many symptoms over the past 18 months that have all been dismissed by the GPs. I went in for a hernia repair last month and it turns out they did a biopsy whilst there and I have endometriosis which explains a lot of how I have been feeling for a long time now. Any tips

laparoscopic procedure
So update is that GP has referred me for the hernia repair. Can anyone let me know if they have had experience of this please? And it’s success or otherwise? waiting time on NHS I can only imagine! And in the meantime upped dosage of esomeprazole Thanks as always for any response

Hernia op
Hi everyone, a couple of years ago I was told I have a
femoral
hernia
and the surgeon I spoke to told me nothing might happen ever but if it does it is emergency surgery and could be very serious. He has left it up to me to decide and just to phone if I want it done.

Total hysterectomy with oopherectomy recovery advice needed please!
Hi all, it’s been about 3 years since I wrote into this group. Back then I was considering having a hysterectomy to help relive the symptoms of severe endo. I still couldn’t decide so I decided to wait and see how I felt in a few years. Well, life had other plans. I got stage 3 ovarian cancer at 40

Anyone have side effects from omenectomy?
Hi everyone, I’m after some advice. I’ve decided to have a preventative total hysterectomy with salpingo-oopherectomy (one ovary is already gone with my OC tumor - I’m one year NED so far). I also have endometriosis too, so I’m hoping this helps stop that pain too. My procedure, together with a hernia

pain eating after hiatus hernia repair.
hey everyone, I had surgery to repair a hiatus hernia I had in 2019. I’m grateful I have had no acid reflux since but I get this really bad pain in my left shoulder (kind of up inline with my armpit). I went back to hospital for endoscopy and barium swallow because I regurgitate my food and they found

First run after hernia op
Those of you who read Damien's parkrun post every Saturday will be aware that I was diagnosed with a hernia in February. I was told that it wasn't linked with running and the type I had (inguinal) is not uncommon among 'older' men. It was only occasionally painful but often uncomfortable, so initially

thanks for all the responses. I’ve been fighting metastatic bc since 2011 after 19 years from original diagnosis stage 2. Prognosis was very good. Surprised after 19 years. I was put on femara and Zometa. Then 2018 switched to ibrance , fasladex and Zometa. Oncologist retired so I went too Sloan. I ended

Ovaries did not respond to stimulation drugs
I started my fifth cycle last week and yesterday my doctor told me that ovaries did not respond. This was the first time it happened to me. I took Genatropin 0.5, Gonal f 225, Letrozol 2x1 and Femara 1 tablet per day. On my previous cycles medications worked really well. I don't know what happened I

So I had shared that her markers had went up last week. When she had the progression in July she also had a plural effusion. Which she’s had drained only twice in 6 months. But her ribs have started being sore. So she goes into tomorrow for ultra sound to see if the fluid has built back up. So her

Diagnosis Anterior Cutaneous Nerve entrapment syndrome?
I had my ovaries removed in February 2020 via laparoscopy. I had had laparascopic diathermy and laser treatment for endometriosis in my 20s and 30s, but eventually taking the progesterone only pill meant I had no periods at all which was a massive result for me and I took them until I was 52. Unfortunately

Hi Not been here for a while as I have been investigating possible Hyperparathyroidism - still ongoing, it's a long road! Also had to deal with a gallbladder removal too...but now resolved 🤞 I'm having private bloods to check for raised Calcium (for HPT), which also test my thyroid. As both problems

Unilateral oophorectomy, massive ovarian cyst removed, and both fallopian tubes removed. Period 3.5 weeks later.
Hello everyone, I had a massive ovarian cyst wrapped around one of my ovaries, so the cyst, one ovary, and both of my fallopian tubes were removed. I had some bleeding for the first couple of weeks. It finally stopped and then at about 3.5 weeks after, I started bleeding again. I thought it was just
