Hi, I had a hystectomy in 2019, then breast cancer in 2020. I've been in awful pain for a couple of months and its accompanied by nausea and dizziness. I've been advised to have a laparoscopy and oophorectomy, does anyone know the rough waiting times on the NHS to have this?

Laparoscopy and Oophorectomy waiting times
hi sorry to hear you have had a rough time over the last few years. As for waiting times I think it will depend on what part of the uk you. I was underBrighton health care trust in East Sussex for a bilateral salpingo oophorectomy in 2021 and in January this year was told I had no chance of having my surgery any time soon but may meet the criteria to have it done under a private hospital on the NHS. I finally had the surgery in May at a hospital in North London. I hope you don’t have to wait to long
Hi, thank you. I'm also Brighton so that's interesting. I'm considering going private but don't think my private health cover will cover the oopherectomy aspect of it.
oh wow we come under the same health care trust I was under Mr Gayen last year but have been under Mr English and then Miss Mallick. I do hope things have improved and you don’t have to have all extra travelling like I did all the best to you
I had Mr English before he retired (if its the same one). I think i'm going to go private (covered by partner's job) as I'm self employed and need to get it sorted asap. North London seems a really long way to go. I bet the journey home was hard work!!
